Remarks

The college is very clean and full of greenery. There are a stationery shop and a photocopy shop inside the college. Both the shops are cheap than the outside shops. The college canteen is also very good and the food is cheap and hygienic. The ground is big and full of flowers and there are chairs to sit in and a hut. The admission process is very easy, you just need the document mentioned in the list. It is a very safe college for girls and proper amenities and safety measures are provided. You can find this college from Delhi University main site.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course because I wanted to try something new and different as I was a PCM student. My faculty is very cooperative and helpful. They help us from the beginning to the end, they help us with every small and tiny problem or projects. They just do not limit us to books but also engage us in extracurricular activities. Most students don't have Sanskrit but after some time they can understand the methods and what mentor tell us. Exams can be given in Sanskrit, Hindi and English for the students who are not able to understand much. Most students give exams in Sanskrit. It's not that difficult but yes you have to concentrate so that it becomes easy.

Internships Opportunities

5

Delhi University jobs, humanities internship - stipend 5000, marketing part-time - stipend 3000-4000, intel internship - stipend 3.500-4.500. There are projects like online allotment system, online survey system, IEEE project, Mobile web designing, Modi's make in India: Swadeshi or Videshi, Aggression and Behavior Modification: A Socio-Psychological Study of Juveniles, Public Pooling System for Women Safety.

Placement Experience

5

For final year students, they become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Justdial, locohelp, e-class education system Pvt ltd. , Falcon business solutions Pvt ltd., Godrej properties, ultra fire tech solutions Pvt ltd etc. On a scale of 1-10, 6-7 students get placements. My plans after getting the degree are to go for masters and in the research sector so that more people know about Sanskrit.

Fees and Financial Aid

There's no such very big fees amount. People don't know much and just judge that this college has very high fees but it's not like that. The fees amount is very normal and for the students, they don't have to waste money, the library is there so that students don't have to buy expensive books, they can borrow it and then return in the given span of time. Scholarships are available for students with the highest marks and the students who can't afford their fees and their families don't support them.

Campus Life

5

Srijan is the annual fest and it's the best. Some specific singers come across from India and there's a whole 3-4 days fest. Dance Competition, Singing Competition, Fashion Show, Painting, Mehendi, Pot making, Rangoli, Sports and much more things are in the fest. Besides this coupons are provided of a specific amount for every college student so that they could eat without paying from the canteen. Books in the library are updated asap they get old and there's a different section for each subject and 4-5 types of newspapers and magazines are also provided to read in the library. Classrooms have proper wooden cupboards and desk and chair, fans and windows are also there. Extracurricular activities such as mentorship program are conducted, Mehendi competition, dance competition, Nukkad Natak and much more. Western Dance group is there named as THIRKAN. The poetry club is also there.

Interview Experience

5

They simply ask how much you know about the subject you are pursuing. If you don't anything tell them or simply just google it and you may get to know what is the subject about. They enquire about your interests, goals and ambition. Your reason for opting for that subject matters the most. You must be confident enough to greet them properly and polite enough to answer them. I Googled a lot about my subject and read articles and books and gathered information as much as I could and of course, you should know about the reason to take it furthermore.

Other Applied Colleges

Hindu college | B.A.(Hons.) Sanskrit

I didn't opt for this college because I got admission in first cut off and my faculty is the best as compared to other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
