Remarks
We are the first batch of the college so there was a sense of fear in everyone, but post SIP's, we know we are in good hands and the batch would do good in upcoming years. The admission process is the same as Jamshedpur, first XAT then GD/PI post which a common merit list is released and students have an option to join either JSR or Delhi. The brand and alum network of XLRI is just amazing much closer than any IIM.
Course Curriculum Overview
Currently, in XLRI Delhi, only BM course is offered. The faculties are the same as the JSR batch and are fabulous. Most of the professors are PhDs and are great in their fields. Exams were from what the professors taught us but the online versions of exams are not a value add.
Internships Opportunities
College internship was great with companies such as ITC, JPMC, Microsoft, RB, Mondelez. The highest stipend went to 5 lakhs with an average stipend at around 2.2 lakhs for 2 months. The project would start in April so do not have much information on that.
Placement Experience
Since we are the 1st batch I won't talk about final placements but the team is the same as XLRI Jamshedpur with students from the Delhi campus and Jamshedpur placements were amazing. As for SIPs, we had companies such as Microsoft, ITC, Mondelez to name a few. XLRI has 100% placement records that too within 2 days.
Fees and Financial Aid
Due to COVID, our course fees were not hiked but still, the fees are exorbitant although the ROI is expected to be decent Hostels are affordable and the food is decent enough. There are several scholarships available for meritorious students some sponsored by ABG, ITC among several others.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing. The admin is student-friendly and is ready to pay for activities. We have outbounds, all sports activities and almost everything is student-run. The college fest Ensemble vallahla was recently held in March and was amazing followed by XLRI's infamous wet nights. We had prom and other offline events even when other colleges are still online.
Hostel Facilities
We have a table chair bed an almirah and a balcony. The food is good although the tuck/cafeteria requires improvements. There are sufficient rooms to accommodate everyone and its a residential program so hostels are mandatory.
Interview Experience
We had a GD. It was a 3 professor panel and GD was amongst a group of 8 students. The topic was "should uniform be made mandatory incorporates". We have had a 10 min GD discussion post in which we had to write and submit our learnings. Post which in our interview we were asked about our points from GD as the panel remains the same.
