Remarks
It brought the opportunity to continue the glorious legacy of XLRI in a new chapter that is the Delhi NCR Campus. The same pedagogy and placements as the Jamshedpur campus, and the firsts of many in the new campus; is a great fulfilling experience. The Delhi campus has all the facilities and the famous alumni network and the excellent faculty are there to guide and nurture it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty and the course curriculum is amazing here at XLRI Delhi NCR. It is the same as Jamshedpur, just at a different place. The great professors of Jamshedpur continue to teach here as well, and the academic rigour helps to create the discipline and diligence to continue in the corporate world. there is a perfect balance of the curricular and the co-curricular activities that make the business management syllabus worthwhile.
Internships Opportunities
The internships were recently offered in the Summer Internship Process. The vast alumni network and the big reputation of the XLRI brand are keeping the legacy alive in the new campus as well. TAS, ABG, Microsoft, ITC, Mondeletz, Tata Steel, etc. offered great roles for the first-year students, who are also the first batch of the new campus. 100% placements recorded and everyone got a respectable stipend as well along with it. The internships are in the months of April-June in 2021.
Placement Experience
The Summer Internship Placements for the batch of 2020-22 were held recently. The process was common with Jamshedpur, and very good offers were obtained by the Delhi campus batchmates. Consulting, FMCG, BFSI, Pharma, IT, Prodman, GenMan, all the major roles were offered. Companies such as Microsoft, ITC, Mondelez, Adobe, Axis, ICICI, TAS, ABG visited and made offers. And 100% placements were achieved for the first batch of the Delhi Campus. The final placements process will also be homogenous with JSR, and the prospects are quite good. I have interests in sales and marketing, and GenMan roles, and they are the domains I am looking forward to.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is on par with any tier 1 B-School in India. It offers the same benefits and academics as the Jamshedpur campus hence the fees are the same. Also, the SBI provides the scholar loan up to 40 lacs and has listed the campus in the AA category. plus there are ABG and OPJEMS scholarship options available that help. During the internship process, one gets a stipend for two months for the intern roles along with great value addition in terms of knowledge and skills.
Campus Life
The campus is very good infrastructure-wise. there are all the necessary and some luxurious facilities also available. Sports, seminars, classes, mess, hostel, management development centre, every facility is amazing. One also gets great peer learning and guidance from the batchmates, seniors and the faculties at XL. The clubs and committees are again common with the Jamshedpur campus and provide a great insight and experience overall.
Hostel Facilities
There are separate rooms for all students. the mess, washrooms, laundry, sports room, classrooms, faculty, lawn, everything is at a very convenient distance from the hostel. the campus is of total 36 acres and has 24 hours electricity and water supply. In the mess, apart from the meals, other things are also available throughout the day such as packaged food, noodles, milk, sandwich, french fries etc. the meal quality is decent. they serve healthy and fresh food and all the hygiene measures are taken. There are Jhajjar city and Gurgaon nearby from the campus, hence conveyance is also not an issue.
Interview Experience
After clearing the XAT examination, with 95 percentile or more for the BM Course, the next process is GD-PI. There are GD and a WAT test. the GD topics are regarding the socioeconomic issues or the issues related to the corporate and the MBA world. upon the same topic, the candidates have to write a small write-up also. After this, the interviews are held and then the results are declared based on the cumulative scores of the XAT, GD, WAT, PI and the profile. The interviews are mostly driven by your profile, sometimes abstract questions can also come. Regarding the selection process, the break-up of weightage is not known for the above parameters, but clearing the cut-off for XAT is a must.
