Remarks
Excellent faculty, top quality infra, placements in top firms across the country, good peer learning. You have to take XAT and score a good percentile, generally over 90. This is the oldest school in the nation with the biggest alumni network.
Course Curriculum Overview
Business management offers a wide range of subjects to learn and be ready for the corporate world. The faculty-student ratio is very good. The faculty are extremely experienced in the relevant industry and are good academians. It took the effort to pass the exams and the exams were timely.
Internships Opportunities
I will be going in my internship next month so my review will be hearsay and my senior's experience. The internship is the most learning curve of XLRI. These 2 months really put things in perspective.
Placement Experience
The SIPs are top-notch with many FMCGs, IBs, etc coming and recruiting students for various roles. The final placements are completed in not more than 2 days with the average placements figure to be 23 Lacs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is extremely high but you get a loan from SBI easily. The scholarship is the Scholar program of SBI. Other scholarships like Aditya Birla Group are also there to take. The kind of placements makes sure you are well off with a loan of 26L.
Campus Life
Life is amazing. There are events going on continuously on campus with so many different committees, around 20. The admin is extremely supportive of all the co and extracurricular activities. The sports infra is top notch and almost all the sports are played here. I am on the sports committee and we make sure to help everyone participate and have fun.
Hostel Facilities
The accommodation is great. Single rooms are allotted to all the students. The wifi is poor and will be made better. It is a student-run campus and thus is very efficient. The meals are hygienic with lots of variety.
Interview Experience
The GDPI rounds are tough. You get a topic to discuss for about 20-30 mins and the topics are mostly current affair topics. The PI for the course is mainly focused on your past academics and your personality. They might ask you some behavioural questions as well. Be prepared for them. The interviews are held in cities across India and more than 90K students try for them. Around 5K are called for GDPI and only 120 will get selected. The interview panel is generally 3 elderly professors, trying to make sense of you. Be confident and your true self and things will work out.
