Remarks

According to my rank in MHT-CET (8605) I had only a few good colleges but why did I choose it has some aspects. 1. First some good aspects: This college has a big campus over other colleges. The crowd over here is also quite good and also the famous COEP is next to it. The co-curricular activities have quite impressive records. Campus placements are quite nice and better than the other colleges of the same competitors. The outer infrastructure is good. It has a very good cafeteria area with good space to hang out. The Canteen also has a variety of food to offer. The playground is also very big enough of the size of two football ground. It also has a separate basketball court and a small grass lawn. Also, it has an underground area where all the co-curricular activities are held including a separate music and art hall, a separate gym, a separate vehicle making and many more 2. bad aspects: The internal infrastructure of the college is not so good as many projectors do not work.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The Course curriculum that we follow is from Pune university and it good not very impressive but okay okay. Although the best thing is that they have an induction program before starting with the main course in which many different speakers come to guide you with college life and its perks and it lasts for 15 days. Talking about the faculty members, The first years' teachers are not good and the teachers are of the MSC qualification for the first year only. I chose Electronics and Telecommunication because it has mixture and flavour of many other branches such as Computer-Science, Electrical and Information-Technology and you can sit for any of the placements. The semester is of 6 months, it isn't much hard to pass studying for just 15 days before the exam will also give you a decent result. Only some teachers are friendly and many others are of the old fashioned type only focusing on the marks and attendance. But overall not very good teacher is available in the college.

Placement Experience

2.5

The college does not provide the details of what package did the student received an only gives details of the number of companies that came for the placement and how many students got placed. Although the placement is not very good as the average package is said to be around 4lack per annum. The students are allowed to sit for the placement only after the 6th semester. About 60-70% of students get placed as claimed by the college. Many known companies do come to the campus placements such as AMAZON AWS, TCS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, TECH-MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, HP-INVENT, IBM, SANDVIK, ATLAS COPCO, CASTROL, GODREJ, ICICI BANK, JCB, L&T INFOTECH, LOREAL, MAHINDRA, SIEMENS, TRIVENI, ZENSTAR, BITWISE, ATOS, AMAZATIC, SKF, KPIT CUMMINS, FORBES MARSHAL etc. After my degree, I am planning to go for the government sector such as Indian Engineering Service, Combined Defence Examination, UPSE, AFCAT and other technical government exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are too high compare to other colleges of the domain. the college fees are 1lack 36thousand whereas other colleges such as PICT has only 1 lack, PCCOE has 1lack 18 thousand, DY Patil has 1lack 20 thousand only. Also, the college charges extra money for many other things such as for dress for the gym for project making etc. Scholarship programs are only for the reserved category such as for ST fees is only 4000 and for SC it only 8000. Also, for the economically backward class, there is a 30% fees waiver and to avail of it, you have to fill the form with some documents. The colleges do hikes the fess every year for the newcomers. The college does not provide, it has a placement and training cell if you want to do any internship you have to find it yourself. No financial Assistance is given mostly and also the official work is too headache and do not have good service.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is good although not much area to roam around the advantage is that the college is in the main city so you can go out for chilling. There are two main fests which are really great and amazing, that is ASHWAMEDH and SHIVANJALI both the events are of great importance and are magnificent. Most of the books are available in the library including many magazines and newspapers with free wifi but only in the library and not the campus. the library has quite a space for studying with an extra reading hall. Classrooms Amenities are really poor as most of the projectors don't work and the benches are also very old and not very comfortable. The classroom doesn't have a staircase bench system and has only one auditorium which is not very big to hold enough spectators. The sports activity and opportunity is quite good and the college has many social clubs such as drone club, media club co-curricular club, music club, resonance club, dance club and many more.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

> From the 4th semester itself, students can go on a off-campus intership with the permission of the college department; the college takes care of the students' attendance. > While mostly students start looking for an internship from the 6th sem onwards. >About 80-85% students were placed from the final year, and the rest many chose to pursue higher studies in foreign countries. > The highest package went up to 12-13 LPA, while the lowest was 3 LPA, on the other hand the average package was 6-7 LPA. > The top recruit companies are Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
