Course Curriculum Overview
I am from Pune and in Pune there are three courses which we grow u knowing and they are CSE, CA and MBA. I chose CSE and from 10th I was deciding college as course was fixed. MITWPU close to my home and also legit one of the best courses.
Internships Opportunities
Pune has an IT Park and there are hundreds of IT companies so getting Internships in Pune for tech field is the easiest thing to grab. Text Mahindra to Cognizant all are there in Pune and have tie-ups with WPU too
Placement Experience
At MITWPU a lot of vested interest is shown by large IT names like Google, Oracle, NVIDIA and Infosys to name just some. Over 100 IT names and startups which are on the verge of becoming a multi million dollar enterprises are the ones which comes and takes students from here.
Fees and Financial Aid
MIT-WPU is one of the best private engineering colleges of Pune and much better than PIET or SIT. The fees is 3.3 lakhs a year for CSE and around 900 seats are there for CSE. Scholarships from Maharashtra Government under various categories are available.
Campus Life
Around 12000 students are studying in MITWPU and our university has that infrastructure which supports that. So many courses and therefore so many different buildings and main building is the highlight of our campus as it has dome at the top. So many hostels and some off campus as well and to keep students engage with fun, our university hosts Aarohan which is better and bigger than Symbi Fest.
Admission
MIT has its own evaluation test and also 12th marks minimum of 60% in PCM for general category is just. For SC/ST and OBC is 50% and also get respite in entrance scores and fees as well. I did tried for MH CET so that I could get COEP but failing to do so, inhad two chocie PICT and MIT-WPU, i chose the latter.
Faculty
Faculties of MIT WPU are masters and that too from Michigan and Georgia Universities not just the IITs. So on their academic backgrounds it would be unfair for me to comment and coming to their teaching it's world class and whatever they teach it gets ingrained in my system immediately. Professor Arjun Khanna is my favourite.
Night Life
Kothrud is full of life and E&Square Kothrud is among the best place for hangouts. There's one cold coffee outlet which is famous since last 2 decades and even more as they give best coffees at such a reasonable price.
