Vandana's Review On Gargi College - [GC], New Delhi

Gargi was overall a lifetime experience for us . The only thing we used to miss was a good auditorium . They have improved it now but the Auditorium is something should have been a bigger once.

I had scored 84% in my class 12th and got a direct admission in Gargi. The first day I had to carry all my education related documents with me along with photocopies. We had filled the admission form in the auditorium. The fee was submitted at the office.

The course content and curriculum was very good and relevant to out subject. We were also given a few projects to give better understanding of the subject. Apart from that professors were also very supportive and helped after classes as well. There were ready to give extra classes as well if there is a requirement. Also, the kind of personal interest they show and express is quite wonderful .

I am not sure if they provide internship as well, I have actually never checked about that to be honest.

I was passed out in 2005 and the campus placement by BPO or MNC's was not that popular at that time. However, Sahara News had come to our campus to hire anchor's for a news segment. They had not hired any from there hence i do not have any information on the compensation part.

There used to be departmental fresher's party for all new admissions. After that there used to be a college freshers party. There was an annual fest, Diwali Party, Holi Party. There used to be nukkad natak performed by the Drama team within the college premises. There used to be a farewell Party by college and by the department as well.

The fee structure was not that expensive in 2005 but now I have heard that it had hiked a bit. Gargi has been awarded as the college with Best Potential and the kind of placement the kids will get from there once they are passed out it is remarkable. As per best of my knowledge it is worth it to pay the fee for god education as it is a good investment for our youth.

There used to be a scholarship facility for good performers that is what I know of as someone had got it from Gargi.

Gargi College is one of the Best colleges in Delhi University Campus. It was a girls college and the kind of fun we have had there it is so much . The premises had all the facilities required starting from library which had almost all the books related to the course. Canteen which had so yummy food and reasonable as well, try Samosa and you would want to have it again and again.

Gargi does not have a hostel facility. It has accommodation for staff of the college but not for students. If you want to look for accommodation nearby you can look for places like Munirka and Neeti Bagh. Lajpat Nagar, Amar Colony which is quite nearby from the College.

Senior Students take the new students for a campus walk and help them understand and know the campus well. This way the campus look like familiar from the very first day.They help us with their notes ,books and experience.

Our course was for Arts students with a Political Science subject. However, I had friends who used to be in labs and I have never heard any thing of negative sort from them. The labs were quite organized and were taken care of really well.The lab assistants were responsible and knowledgeable enough.

The faculty is the best one any student can expect. The kind of focus they have on the students is excellent. They give comfort , help, love and knowledge to all the students. The discipline is also well maintained. Apart from the regular studies they extra curricular activities as well which is equally promoted in the college. I remember being a part of drama team and giving enjoying those moments.
