Remarks

I choose because of the following things great infrastructure, great facilities, one of the top 10 science colleges in DU. It's near my home. Then the admission process in this college doesn’t take me much, I entered then they guide us the way to their administrative office or maybe in the library they have stalled for different courses you just have to show your details and then if your eligible in merit then they take the photocopies of your document then that's it you just have to wait an hour may be and wait for notifying the admission fee which has to pay online that's it.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

As I have the chemistry department the facilities are way better than others as well as the teachers are supportive but not all are same. The theory classes have been taking regularly as well as practical classes but some teachers in theory as well as practical just come for the attendance I think. In the chemistry department, the teachers have good teaching method except few in theory classes. There are 15-20 faculty members and around 70 students in the chemistry department. They take the exam properly and timely and it is easy to pass if you have studied. There are many restrictions on its campus-like you can’t sit on grounds ,You can’t go in hostel side etc thats what i hate the most.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placement is not very good. Even when we were freshers we don’t their is placement cell too on colleges because only final year get these and very dew get jobs around 8-10 and they get jobs of around 15-20 thousand. They choose on based on an interview, marks in the semester and your practical knowledge. Every year only around 50 students give the Test and only around 10 got jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for every course is different and 1st,2nd,3rd years have different fees and yes the fee is per annum. At average it's between 18000 to 20000 ever year. Even they have a semester system they take fees yearly, there is a total of 6 semesters and their syllabus and subject besides main subjects changes. Yes, they give scholarships to minorities and on sports quota of around 10,000.every year. Yet they don’t give any internships and the jobs they give usually of about 15 thousand per month, there are few students who take the jobs.

Campus Life

2.5

Yes, they have many clubs and societies of dancing, singing, astronomy, women development cell, poetry, etc. But they all had very low funds given by colleges mostly they funds on their own. They represent college everywhere the clubs go and even their bright performance the college dont give anything to them. There are social groups like women development cell, NSS, helping hut go. The library is too big they have computers for locating the book you want almost everything related to the tour course is there. There is basketball, cricket, soccer teams are too. The classrooms conditions are very good they have smart classes, A.C, mike in every class. There are fest are gelded by students but yet the fund problems are always their.

Students become eligible for campus placements around 5th to 6th semester. Highest package of 2024 was 25LPA. Usually 8CGPA is considered a sweet spot for campus placements plus it gets them easier to get into world class universities for post graduation.

Acharya Narendra Dev College - [ANDC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biomedical Sciences)
Reviewed on Mar 3, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.
