Remarks
As MSRIT is one of the oldest colleges of Bangalore, management was very good, experienced and disciplined all things used to drive by rules and regulations of the college, very helpful in need.
Entrance Preview
I took admission in govt. seat by GATE. I have scored 30~ in 2010 GATE. I have given priority to best colleges in Bangalore due to IT hub and exposure you will get here is awesome. And chances to get internship is way high.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was thoroughly covered as per the market and requirement as I have choosen MTech in software engineer. It has following subjects in all 4 sems i Semester M.Tech. (Software Engineering).
Internships Opportunities
Yes, it provide the options to do internship in MNCs or do own projects. Generally most of the companies give stipend can be varies from 10k to 50k per month. I have done 1 year internship in IBM ISL. And got handsome stipend as well.
Placement Experience
According to me, 100% in BTech and 80% in M.Tech many companies visited campus like HP, Alcatel Lucent, IBM, NETAPP, EMC2, Honeywell, wipro and many more i cant write all company names there were many. But, minimum cutoff was 60% overall for most of the companies.
College Events
There were many events happened. Usually, there will be sports day, annual day, ustav culture fest, tarang fest etc where all campus takes part very actively. And many committees used to made for all sort of tasks. And all handles by the students of MSRIT ncludes getting sponsors, advertisements etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible if you get government seat. I paid 60k per year apart from basic fees, I have paid 10-12k one-time fee includes library fees, caution money, medical fees etc. There are management seats as well, I think 1-2 seats per course in MTech. and price per seat can go up and down as per the management.
Fees and Financial Aid
GATE scholarship is there. They provide yearly not monthly i got 96K twice in MTech. (8K monthly) it might have increased as of now.
Campus Life
The campus is full of diversity, students are from all over India. But, in MTech 70% students was from AP or KA many events used to happen in every 2-3 months. It is like a small IIT B.Tech guys spend a lot of time in these events. Campus life is very good that provides you 24x7 library and lab availability. Wifi campus, plenty of space for sports or big events.
Hostel Facilities
I lived outside the campus, in private hostel. But, I heard the food was ok and hostels are neat and clean. There are many hostels in walking distance. And all sort of facility depends on the budget. Starts from 2k per month to 20k per month. But you will get wifi everywhere. College is in prime location and center of bangalore. Many shops and branded showrooms near by very happening place for bachelors i enjoyed my 2 years in heaven there.
Alumni/Alumna
Not really, but for B.Tech this is much more helpful and alumni is very active for M.Tech students, they used to invite for events and functions.
Exam Structure
Exams and labs are all with standards. Monthly surprise exams depends of the faculty where mid sems and final exams are there. Twice in 1 semester. Labs are very high-tech. MSRIT have educational labs funded by INTEL and have Intel center of excellence. ALl other labs are also very good and maintained.
Admission
I have appeared for GATE 2010 and qualified. I have filled the form for Karnataka PGCET, though I did not appear for the written examination of PGCET because I had GATE score card with me already. I just walk in on counseling date and picked the college what I wanted.
Faculty
All were very experienced, 80% faculty was 10+ year of experience and 40% was 15+ many are from IIT or NITs or very reputed colleges. MSRIT HODs are mostly from IITs and even principal of college used to take classes once a week. And most of the faculty member are very experienced in terms of handling students and disciplined.
