The college works more like a schoo. There is strict dress code and in and out time is fixed and if you get in once then you can leave before the end of the day. But academics is fairly good and placement is very good. The best part is 24 hrs open Library and there are large number of books in Library. There isno concept of fine in Library and student can keep a book as long as he wants.

As the semester exam is being conducted by Maulana abul kalam azad university of technology, so the exam is very fair and aoart from that internal two mid- sem exams also occur and one practical examination before end-sem. These examination make students to be in continuous touch with course and book as all gas some weightage in final marks. Alart from that placement is highly emphasized in this institute and it provides number of pre placement training and that too free, which make most of the student to bag a job before leaving the institute.

Placements are very good and most of the student almost 95 percent, who sit for placements get job. But most of the jobs are in IT sector and nearly 20-25 percent students bahs 2 or more than 2 jobs. Most of the time you have to arrange your own internship and college will not provide any assistance in searching. I passed out with two jobs one in TCS and other in JSW CEMENT.

There were lot. Innovacion - annual tech fest ASME EFx - an international event organised by ASME IEM student chapter. There were many more around 15-20 events are organised every year and all events are great fun to attend and most of them are either free or has minimal participation fees.

Fee structure is very less compared to other engineering colleges in country and as it is situated in kolkata which is a cheper city and this makes even cost of living very less. Most of the students were able to afford on their own while remaining took financial assistance from bank.

No, as I belonged to general category so there was no scholarship in whuch I was eligible and apart from that the tuition fees is not very high so my father oaid that without any assistance from bank.

Campus life is not very good, there are unnecessary restrictions. Gender ratio for non core branches is nearly 7girls for 10 boys while for core branches it was nearly 2 girls per 20 students. Labs are well equipped and there are lot of extracurricular activities organised whole year, some are organised by institute which some by any one department. Our college performed fairly good in several National level quiz competition, paler presentation etc.

No, I didn't opted for hostel. I used to stay in a rented apartment with my friends. As the campus is very small so there is no in campus hostel amd the one outside that camour which is run by college is not upto mark. The amount of money charged is bit more that what we used to soend in our rented apartment.

I was a student of mechanical engineering and first batch of mechanical engineering has passed out in 2017. So the alumni network is not very strong for our department but whatever we have, alumni are very helpful. But in other departments which are since inception of college, their alumni network is very strong and has reach in nearly all top MNCs across the globe and they are really helpful.

I got through centralised counselling which was done on the basis of rank in West Bengal joint entrance examination. After reporting once, you have to wait till the last round and after that admission will start. The programme offered to you in final round is the one in which you will be admitted. Apart from that further spot round are also being organised and yiu have ti be physically present in the institute in order to take admission.

20-30 percent faculties are very good and out of remaining 50-60 percent are newly passed out profeesors having experience less than 5 years, but their classes are satisfactory and very less number of teacher maybe 10 percent or so are below mark and attending there class is nothing more than wastage of time. Some additional seminars and lectures by guest faculties were often organised to give students a better industry comnect.
