Remarks

This is my home state institute. If my marks were better I would've of course try better NITs. But among my available options at that time, this was the best one. I didn't want to do engineering specifically, but I had interest in physics and math.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus was, in my opinion, fine. I don't think we had enough industrial exposure. The practical labs are not very high functioning, but also not bad. There are only a few faculties that I met so far are genuinely good. Most of the faculties don't teach properly and are not understanding towards the issues of the students. To mention, Subhasish Panda sir, Physics Department is the best teacher I've met in my one year in the college.

Placement Experience

3.5

I've just completed 1st yr so I don't know very much of it. But as I heard the placement percentage of Cse and ECe are better. The avg package is also better right now. For core, less no of companies come, and fewer no of students get placed. For civil, L&T is a respected company that comes. A lot to learn about these things in coming years.

College Events

4.5

The events of the campus are amazing. There are many different active clubs working in nits that held various events students can take part in. The annual cultural (Incandescenc) and technical(Tecnoesis) event are grand every year and we have a lot of fun. The extracurricular activities are very enjoyable in the campus. You can join any club that you're interested in.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure I think is average. The library is big but it's new so functioning is not on point. Equipments in some labs are in bad condition(eg EC lab). Others are manageable. The galleries are good and academic buildings are old but have a good architecture.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructures are good. GH1 is very spacious. Rooms are 3 seaters. The food is average of course. But ovarall the quality is, in my opinion, good. Our students get 100% hostel facilities. There are many no. of hostels present.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course i.e department of Botany because the department ensuring a strong theoretical foundations along with the practical experience. The course prepares well for studies as the academic results is always good which will make graduates well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and internships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which releases unnecessary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is not at all easy like all the other courses but since this course deals with life and death situations I would say the practical applications introduction has lead to a better side of this course. This course is completedly real world based curriculum. The faculty members are well equipped to everything they teach and the methods currently focus on application based studies. This course has many exams each month and therefore the student has to study properly.
