Remarks

Research work and exposure. After B.Sc. if one didn't get any other government University or IIT and the person is highly influenced towards the Research then they must go for Thapar. Only if they arr capable of paying high fees though there are many scholarships availed by the university every year. The environment there is very friendly. You can learn whatever you can and hostel life is too comforting out there. Usually students from the colleges ( B.Sc.) didn't get much chances to explore but Thapar is one of that place one should go for.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is perfectly designed and all the facilities holds post doctorate degrees. Faculty is easily approachable and doubts of each and every students were cleared on the spot. Timings of the class are restricted but flexible and attendance criteria is strictly followed.

IAS-NASI fellowship for intership in IIT ROPAR for 2 months.

various cultural and technical events went on and on almost everyday throughout the year. The environment is quite boosting and happy all the time. FROSH right from the beginning to durga pooja and jagran. All the cultural diversities are well appreciated in the boundaries.

Campus Life

Thapar provides every facilites to there students from sports to various workshops everthing is there Library is accessible and one can order any preferred book by the simple procedure. Wifi facilities are available 24ÌÑ7 in hostels and campus as well.

Overall university is nice but i would suggest to opt for government colleges if you are looking in Chandigarh

Placement Experience:

In last year means in semester 5th , amity offers placements. Companies visited was amazon, Google, microsoft , airtel , flipkart , deloitte and adobe in 2023. Package:- highest 10 lakh per annum and average was 5-6 lakh per annum offered by deloitte and hdfc 8000+ students got placements. My plans after the degree are Ma in clinical psychology from abroad.

Its is good college in terms of money and their atmosphere

Placement Experience:

Our college is not so good in terms of placement. Our college is not tied up with the MNC for the placements of the students. Mostly sales-related jobs are offered in the placements. The highest package offered by our college is approx 7 LPA and the average package is 4.8 LPA. According to my point of view, only 15 to 20 percent of students can get jobs.

I chose this as it is one of the well-known colleges for mbbs in Punjab. 10:225, Faculty, are postgraduates. With an experience of more than 5years mostly. At the end of the year, there were exams that are a bit difficult to pass.

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More

I applied to IGDTUW , VIT vellore and other colleges i got into both in VIT i got CS but it was too far away plus the placement percentage there is comparatively low and IGDTUW i didn't have mg prefered branch.
