Remarks

IISER Mohali is one of the best research institute in India and also it is a national importance college. My main motto was to get admission in such a college where my future can be secure and IISER Mohali is best for future safe.

Course Curriculum Overview

My aim from childhood was study basic science and to become a scientist. All the professors are well qualified and have their PhD and post doc from various renowned universities like MIT, Yale, Stanford etc. Teachers are very humble and helping. Course structure is fine and is according to the current time and foreign universities. For first two years you have to study all subjects and from third year onward you can choose your particular subject for major in which you want to do your research.

Placement Experience

3.5

IISER MOHALI is a basic science research institute. It doesn't offer any technical courses so direct placements from campus are not there. Students after their 5 year degree do their PhD from some of the best universities across the world. There is no placement cell in the college.

College Events

5

IISER MOHALI is just a few kilometres away from the beautiful city Chandigarh so here you can enjoy all the clubs, parties and malls of both Chandigarh and Mohali. College also celebrate every festival. INSOMNIA- is the annual fest of IISER Mohali.

Placement Experience:

On a serious note, if you choose this course, you cannot expect employment opportunities after graduation. You have to do a master's and then you can think of a lectureship or a laboratory assistant. For higher studies, you can pursue a PhD and go in the research field. But the course is not as easy as it seems, the path is very struggling and often you face failure. After the recent NMC update, the non-medical teaching staffs are limited which makes the pursuing of this course very questionable. but there are alternative course and job opportunities after graduation in other life sciences subjects. Rest, the college doesn't provide any internship in this course. You are entirely on your own risk and decisions when you enrol for this course.

There is gender discrimination, restrictions based on gender and most important dressing of girls and thinking of management is narrow minded. Good thing is campus life is very good. Campus is fun based and great enjoyment and building is like a palace.
