Remarks

I want to pursue career in science. The future depends on knowledge creation. It is going to be a knowledge based society and IISER do the same job. I want to contribute to our country's Research department and this was the main motive of me in selecting IISER.

Course Curriculum Overview

In the first two years (that is the first 4 semesters) at IISER Mohali, the course structure is same for everyone. There are core courses which every student has to attend. The curriculum for the first two years (four semesters) will be :1. Physics2. Chemistry3. Biology4. Mathematics5. Interdisciplinary Courses6. Humanities and Social Sciences. Along with these courses, you will have lab (practical) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in all the four semesters. The lab sessions are held from 2pm to 5 pm everyday for each subject (physics on one day, chemistry on the second day and biology on the third day)After the common courses in 2 years, you are free to choose either of the PCMB for your Majors.

Talking about placement, there are no such cells for this. People find it on their own, and they go for Higher Studies like PhD and Post Doc etc. If we talk about the internship, there are a lot of opportunities for students here, from Microsoft to Mercedes Benz, you can apply anywhere.

Course Curriculum Overview:

From the begning i was always into tech and computers i liked to make my school persentation on my pc and that's the main reason for taking the stream CSE . The curriculum makes you ready for thr real world application by providing classes for eveything that a student is facing problem. If you ask me for the suggestion then some teachers should change their tecahing methods so that they will help the student in a better way . The frequency and timing of the exam goes like the college conducts two internal exams for the internal marks known as MST and one final exam and the difficulty level is medium

Placement Experience:

There are placements drives being held in the campus but not for the physiotherapy field. But still they do help students to focus on building employability skills through compulsory internships , project works and hospital or clinical tie ups. Many students build strong resumes via internships, research projects, and online certification (Coursera, linkedin),etc. After completing the course I am planning for persuing masters in this field.

Placement Experience:

In LPU placement process usually start from 6th semester onwards. Many good companies come to campus like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Amazon and few product based also. Some startups also visit. The no. of offers are quite large every year because batch size is big. Highest package I heard was around 40 LPA but that is very rare, only 1-2 students get. Average package is around 5–6 LPA for CSE branch. For other branches it is little bit low. Almost 80-85% students who are seriously preparing gets placement from college. College also provide placement training and soft skills classes which help in interviews.
