Entrance Preview

JATI scored 88.95 in the testI opted for this college since it was the best I could get according to my rank. There were other good colleges. As well but since they were girls only colleges and I wanted a co-ed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is pretty goodI have micro, macro, econometrics, industrial economics, business admin, marketing, finance, communication, statistics, maths, insurance etc.

Internships Opportunities

I did not apply for any internships as I'm pursuing actuaries along with the course. So i really did not have time for the sameI do not have any good idea for the same. But yes around 5-8 thousand is given along with a certificate. The experience of most students have been great with internships.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement and job opportunities should have been high as we have a great course structure but somehow the placement cell had been ineffective in getting good companies Axis bank has been a regular company though with an annual package of 4-5 lakhs. Also a problem is that the companies don't really understand about the curriculum and just go by the regular courses. I think there is a mistake on the part of the University by not marketing the course in a proper manner.

College Events

1.5

There are all sorts of fests organised in the college .Though the authorities have not been much supportiveAnnual sports fest- runbhoomi All the 13 colleges having bbe/ bms / bfia participate. Mangement fest it has a lesser participants Marketing fest, finance fest, entrepreneur fest these have been irregular events but fetch a good amount of participation Economics fest and cultural fest have a huge participation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The free structure is expensive as compared to other courses in the University .But since it's a government funded University, it's cheaper compared to private ones20000 annual1800 examination fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarships offered are usually not meant for most of the students. I haven't received any of themIt's okay though .They provide most to poor students Or the undeserved ones.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumini network but we are working on the same. The seniors are mean, they only talk when they need helpJuniors are good, helpful and adjusting.

Exam Structure

The exams are semester based, the date sheets are made by the University, sometimes the schedule is hectic and sometimes are very chilled out ones. My course is not a lab based examination .So written exams are held 10 assignment 10 class test 5 attendance 75 external.

We have decent placements and the students are available to entere into placement in 6th semester but it varies from course to course . There are several companies such as inidgo and wipro etc . The employability depends on the skills and achievements of the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

I liked Economics as a subject in my class 12th and I choose this course for my undergraduate degree. I really liked the curriculum as it includes both practical knowledge and theory too. It's not theory heavy. Course includes some real life problems that I can relate very well..

I knew a senior already and asked her about the college she said teaching staff is good for which I can totally agree..there are a lot of assignments and stuff but at last it's helpful helps to gain exposure, knowledge and experience If you participate in all the activities which happend then it will be really good and helpful But the syllabus is very vast and with activities and assignment it gets stressful For the first year first sem it was very hectic as the exams were in really few gap but it was fine in second sem It is advised to try to study side by side atleast a little bit
