You have to give an entrance exam named AUAT. After qualifying this exam you need to appear for personal interview with the seniors professors of the college and then a final rank card is prepared based on which a counselling is conducted in which we chose which stream/department we want chose. Aliah University is among the oldest universities of India and a Government College and seeing the college progress in leaps and bounds what interested me to join this university.

Aliah University just like any other engineering college teaches the same subjects and follows the pattern of IIT on the other hand it teaches a Arabic as a compulsory subject which helps alot to be placed in middle eastern countries. They have a well equipped lab with all the facilities and enough instruments for every student to perform the experiments individually and learn.

Yes students pursuing masters are appointed as part time teachers, lab assistant and an monthly average salary of 8000 are provided to them

We have a Placement Cell in our college which is new. We have Motin Ostagor Sir there who is always ready to help us with career related doubts.We have a gmail group where the students of our college know about all the different jobs and company that have approached our college and apply according to their choice and suitability. Brochure of final year student along with their CV are printed and sent to different companies.

This year for the first time ever a 2 day cultural and technical was organised by our college and the students in which an eminent band underground authority had performed. During the tech fest many competition where organized and many eminent colleges participated in the activity and its a really great feeling to see students coming and show casing their talent.Freshanza is a welcome party organized by the seniors.Inter-departmental sports are held every year where all the different departments participate to establish their supremacy over the other departments.

As it is a government college the fee structure is not at all expensive. Its very much cheap according to the infra-structure and lab facility and everything they provide. Hostel fees too are very cheap and affordable by students you wouldn't find any college with such advanced infra-structure and such little fees compared to what the college provides us with.

There are many scholarship offered for meritorious student and students who belong to minority and other backward caste. All the fees of the student are waived in these scholarships and an extra money of 4000 per year are given to students who do not stay in pgs or hostel where as student residing in pgs and hostel receive an amount worth 10,000 per year apart from their college fees being waived.

Ratio of boys:girls are 4:1. We have a huge campus for students to play different outdoor sports and as well as indoor sports as well. People from all parts of the society speaking different languages would be seen in our college campus. Students are fun loving and have a very strong bond between them and there is no such discrimination between a girl or a guy. Everyone is provided with equal opportunities. Although rumors are there about Aliah being a college for the minority but its not so people from aspect of the society would be found in this university.

Hostel rooms are on sharing basis with 3 students in each room and attached bathroom is provided in each room and a water filter cum cooler installed in every floor for the students. A total of 4 hostels building are there 2 for girls and 2 for the boys. Hostel seats are limited students and students who stay furthest from college are given priority to avail this facility. Teacher cell are there who regularly go through the food quality of the hostel and are always there to solve any crisis faced by an individual.

We have always found an elder brother/sisters in our college senior and alumni always there to guide us help us in building a career and guiding us through our projects, exams and every difficulty we come across in our college days. Its great to have such seniors who go out of their way to help you and guide you and have a very friendly nature and which has helped us to be like them and help our juniors in the same way in which our seniors have helped us.

Yes this is what engineering is all about lab, classes viva and semester exams. Each subject consisted of 100 marks which was divided into 3 parts mid-semester, end-semester and teachers assessment. Mid semester consisted of 30 marks end semester of 50 marks and the remaining 20 marks where given by individual subject depending upon class performance, class test attendance and file submission.
