Remarks

Good aspect of the college is its placement. It has a good impression on the field of placement in recent years. Bad aspect is the location . The location of this college is a little bit odd. Student also goes through some unnecessary restrictions. I went through the counselling in 2018 and I have chose this college according to my merit rank. Its placement in computer science engineering enticed me to choose it. Google shows me this college based on my searches.

Course Curriculum Overview

Nowadays computer science engineering is the future. I see those who pursued other subjects they don't get placement and come in the It field. So taking this subject is wise. Faculty: student ratio > there is enough faculties for the students in the classroom as well as in the lab. Well qualified faculties interact well with the students. Student can ask questions outside the classroom also. There are two internal examination in a semester and it is easy to pass if anyone pays at least some attention in the classroom lectures.

Course Fees: INR 840000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement in the Computer science engineering section is the real attraction here. Almost 99% eligible students got placed every year. From 6th semester students are eligible for the campassing. Companies like TCS INFOSYS MINDTREE AMAZON WIPRO come and offers then development based promising jobs. Highest package is 8.5 lack per annum , average package is 4 lack /annum. 99% students got placed every year in CSE. After getting the degree I want to be in Amazon and do a promising job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are limited by the university MAKAUT ( Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology). The overall course cost is 3.59 lack in the total 4 year. Each semester contains Rs. 40000-42000. College takes some placement training fees also. In the beginning of the college admission needy students are asked for the educational loan. There are many banks for the Technology enthusiastic students.

Campus Life

Campus life is a little bit bad as there are some unnecessary restrictions. There are cultural fest " Arcadia " which is conducted in the even semester every year for 2 days in a festive mood. There is freshers welcome function "Regatta " for one day. Techfest is organised for 2 days in different fields like robotics, drone, workshop, etc. Library is very bad in the college. It is hard to get the book, to have to stand a big queue. The librarian's is not good enough. Classroom is clean and well maintained. Volleyball, Football, Basketball are played in the campus. Student can get coaching also. There is a gym on the campus . The gym is affordable. College has IOT group , quizzes group and many others.

Textile is not a good option nowadays. So I choose a promising career in Computer science engineering.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I

The infrastructure of the college is good.I would consider the college as very clean.
The campus life is pretty good but there are strict instructions to freshers to not roam in the campus.

Dislikes

I disliked the condition of the bathroom and the corridor on the first day.
My hostel room was very filthy.The workers charges ₹100 for cleaning it

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

One of the best things about my college is all the classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The classrooms, labs and even the toilets are cleaned regularly, which really helps to create a comfortable learning environment.
All the clubs of the college remain active all the time no matter whether it's technical clubs or fest related clubs like fun events domain, etc.
The most important thing is that the college is entirely ragging -free. College also maintains a healthy girls to boys ratio.

Dislikes

The classrooms are quite compact compared to the number of students in each class . At times it feels overcrowded and a bit uncomfortable during lectures.
Some of the faculty members are relatively inexperienced. It often feels like they don't have full command over the subject they're teaching, which can affect the overall understanding of important concepts.
Another issue I've noticed is the irregularity in certain subject classes. Not all subjects are taught consistently every semester , and there are high chances of some classes getting missed or not scheduled properly.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit for placements form 7 th semester that is from the beginning of final year. Usually the service based companies come here with cgpa criteria and offer jobs to students.

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved

Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities
