Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is pretty similar to other colleges. Its duration is of 3 years with 6 semesters in total. This is pretty much the same everywhere. The course was designed in focusing the basics of programming and mathematics in the first sem with core concepts in upcoming semesters.

Placement Experience

The internship cell does help in providing training opportunities to students. The placement scenario is pretty satisfactory. Many students do manage to bag good packages off-campus from TCS, Infosys, and other tech companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a government college, the fee structure is pretty feasible. We have to pay around 5,200 INR per year which is quite nominal compared to other colleges. This fees will cover the tuition, admission and other miscellaneous fees.

Campus Life

We do a lot of activities apart from just studying. We girls also play a lot of sports and we have our own sport teams, me being a member of our basketball team. We celebrate our own cultural fest and all kind of events and festivals on our campus, which are quite fun.

Admission

After my 12th Grade, I decided to pursue computer science in my career. I applied for AGC via online. The eligibility was a minimum of 45% in 12th grade and selection was through merit. I got selected in this process and landed here.

Faculty

The faculty members are all highly qualified and experts in their domain. The members are selected through a screening process, so all of them are skilled and knowledgable. They are affable and guide us throughout our projects.

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

A holistic experience: my journey at CFI college of Law

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd say the BBA LLB curriculam si quite relevent and comprehensive. the blend of business management and legal studies really made me choose this course because it gives a holistic understanding of both fields. The curriculum is pretty practical and prepares us well for real- world applications like internships and moot courts and also sets a strong foundation dor further studies in law. In term of Imporvements i think the curruculum could benefit from more interactive workshops and practical training sessions and somtimes a bit more hands on experience and indusry exposure help bridge the gap between thoery and practice. Regarding exams, I find the frequency and timing are well balanced. the semester exams come at a good pace and whike some subjects can be challenging they are definately manageable with consisnent study.

The applied for Chandigarh University.I got confirmed admission from the CU and AGC.I choose Asansol GIRLS college because it is affordable for my parents and it is near to my house..CU fees structure is very expensive. I didn't get any rejection from any other college that I applied too. The admission process of my college is very simple all you need to do to fill the form and provide necessary details of 10th and 12th exam. And submit after a month the list will be released on the official website of my college.
