Course Curriculum Overview

5

The aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose this course is I was really interested in english. The curriculum prepares me well enough for further academic pursuits. There is no need to improve the curriculum and teaching methods, because I can understand it pretty good and my friend too. The frequency of the exams is twice in a year , and the timing of the exams is mostly morning and the level of the exams is moderate..

The names of the festivals which is celebrated is Saraswati Puja.It is celebrated in the month of February, in which all the students and parents are invited. Our principal do the puja. After a day later we are invited to have the food which is offered to by our principal to all the students as a blessing from Maa. On day all the students wear saree and we really enjoyed. The rangand accessibility of books and journals available in the library is quite good. The facilities in the college is good. The sports activities held once in a year interested students participate in the activities.I also participated in the activity and I really enjoyed it, we can food at the end such as banana, orange, bun bread, eggs. I don't know any students to runs social groups and clubs.

Admission

The applied for Chandigarh University.I got confirmed admission from the CU and AGC.I choose Asansol GIRLS college because it is affordable for my parents and it is near to my house..CU fees structure is very expensive. I didn't get any rejection from any other college that I applied too. The admission process of my college is very simple all you need to do to fill the form and provide necessary details of 10th and 12th exam. And submit after a month the list will be released on the official website of my college. After checking your name, you need to pay the require amount for the courses.. after few days they will call you for documents verification and there's no mandatory exams for admission, 12th result is sufficient. My overall experience is good.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is quite good. The faculty members are 20 in my department. The faculty to student relationship is good and they are easily approachable. My bonds with faculty is good The name of the faculties I really like is my sociology minor department ma'am's Piyali Sarkar and megha badgas .she is very kind to all students.and whenever I have query I asked her and she explained to me very nicely and politely The names of the faculties I don't like are Arpita and rismita.i don't like them because they don't teach well and they don't pay attention to are questions.they scold us when we asked them about anything twice. There is 2 exams one in a year, the exams level are moderate. The student who failed to clear the exam is very less. The course is very relevant to the curriculum.

Night Life

Our college gym provides basic facilities. It is really good, it was inaugurated by our City MLA. It was a honourable moment for the students and teachers. The library time are fixed, they don't give us book if we don't have our library card. Library offers all the books of all the department which is very good for students. My campus timings is from 9 am to 5pm. My favourite hangout places inside the college is cafeteria, I and my friends eat and talk there, we really their alot. outside the college my favourite place is Galaxy mall which is walking distance of my college. My locality is safe for girls to roam around at night

I want to know bengali literature and all type of poems and proses that's why I choose B.a. in bengali literature. According to me, my course helps me in doing Masters in Bengali. From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. Mere collage The exam level is basically hard and exams are conducted twice a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Bengali is one of the oldest Bengali department in the state. It offers undergraduate honours and postgraduate courses. Recently, they have started PhD courses as well. The Bengali department is actively engaged in research in hot topics in literature. The curriculam of Presidency university is most diverse among all other University, colleges in the state. It begins with very basic topics at the first year and ends with very specific research level papers at the final year. The syllabus is so advance that bachelors students can compare themselves with the masters level students after completeing the course. I will mention the bachelor course curriculam in summary: Semester I- Prachin Bangla Sahitya O Bangalir Itihas sandhan, Bangla bhasar itihas o bhasatotto, Semester II- Prak chaitanya juger bangla sahityer itihas, Madhyajuger bangla sahityer itihas o kabyapath, Semester III- Shorosh o soptodosh shotabdir samaj: itihas o chaitanyadeb, Ashtadosh shatabdir samaj sangkriti, changa-alanlkar o prof sangsodhan, Semester IV- Adhunik juger udbhab, gadya o probondho sahitya, kabya-kabitae itihas, natoker itihas o rupbhed, Semester V- Bangla Upanyas, Bangla chotogolpo, Rabindranath, Semester VI- Unish o Bish shataker bangla samaj songskriti o sahitya, bhinna bhasar sahityer itihas o tar obhighat, bharatiya alangkar shatra, sahitya o shilpo. Other than these compulsory courses, there are lot of exceptional elective courses that attracted me more towards joining this prestigious university. Since Presidency University select specific students through their difficult entrance tests, the semester exams should not be difficult for the students, but there are some papers in the course which needs to delt with extra care and attention to get extra marks.

Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach and, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade and a timeline to follow so the year will be completed. I wouldn't eliminate content without background we cannot form good, rational and educated conclusions. We still giving timed tests.
