Likes

The professors are too good and friendly
The college campus is very spacious compare to other colleges in Kolkata
The college staffs, female cleaning staffs and security guards are very kind.

Dislikes

The college canteen food is very expensive and not that good in taste
Boys who make noise from there bikes in college campus is ridiculous.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach and, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade and a timeline to follow so the year will be completed. I wouldn't eliminate content without background we cannot form good, rational and educated conclusions. We still giving timed tests.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 93000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees we have to pay is 31,000 for B.A English Honours Tution fee - 15,000 Admission fee - 9,000 Miscellaneous fee - 1,000 Others fee - 4,000 Session fee - 2,000 And for B.A General they have to pay 8,000-9,000 yearly. For B.com honours they have to pay 33,000. Our college also provide different scholarship like kanye shree, marks based scholarships etc.

Campus Life

In our college there are many events going on zest, ripples etc. And in ripples it is 2-3 days event per year many singers nd celebrities come. Previous year Darshan Raval came and that was mind-blowing event in my entire life. In library there are many books available for all the departments nd general knowledge books.

Admission

I applied in many colleges and different universities from different cities and states. I want to study in Delhi University but my father wants me to do English Honours from Calcutta University. Here in Kolkata I applied in Asutosh College Surendarnath College etc but finally my brother said go for THK Jain College. This college is very good and here studies are also done good

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio will be around more then 4000-5000. Our faculties are very good in our college. There are weekly test in our college especially in our department of English Honours. We have enternal exams of 10 marks and end semester exam of 65 marks. We have tutorial of 20 marks and attendance marks etc.

Night Life

Yes we have hostels in our college campus. No doubt there are many security arrangements there is nothing to worried about. Our canteen is very spacious nd comfortable and air conditioner. The night life of Kolkata is just amazing and very safe

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Review of the college where i spend three long years and gathered every knowledge that is available there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I used to read so many novels from my childhood and that inspired me in getting attracted to this field. We used to have the fecility of having seminar in the end of every month after compleating of each lessons. And this process helped us in true education. After every year professors from differnt parts of the country used to come for a seminer for overall groth of the students. Actually is theory teaching style is followed in the college, according to me some developments in the practical teaching can be used. Semister is held at the end of every six months and the exams are used to be moderate in nature.

Honest review of CU as a B.Tech student of ECE

I had applied to JU and GCECT, GCELT. I was accepted in GCECT and GCELT for CSE and other brances but opted for CU ECE because of its reputation and future scope. I didn't clear the cutoff for JU Instrumentation. To get in the college one must clear the wbjee exam and follow through the councelling process. Deep Dive into your true College Experience at SXC Kolkata

i applied to the National University of Singapore where i got admission in the Economics course but had to take back my offer due to personal reasons. moreover i tried for colleges in Delhi University however my score wasnt adequate for the college i wanted for economics so i had to stay back in this college which otherwise was my choice over any other college. the admission process here is rather tedious, you have to get your registration form for this college signed by your school principal with your picture and get that along with all other original documents during the document verification day, eligibility i believe includes the presence of mathematics at any cost. the cutoffs here go pretty high, especially for economics, calculated on a maths+best of 4 basis out of 200....Read More

Perfect campus for economics student

Admission process are very simple. Generally entrance exam was conducted for admission but I took admission just after COVID so I didn't give any entrance exam. But cutt off was very high. At least 70 percent marks in graduation are mandatory to take admission in this university on the merit basis. Application form are generally found on University official website in August.
