Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum are at another level. I asked in many universities but nowhere I found such syllabus what I taught in Calcutta University. Generally in MSC per sem there are 4 papers but in Calcutta there are 5 papers per sem. And curriculum are very relevant to market and related to real life problem . They not only teach technical part of topic but also especially focus on real life problem and teach us how to solve this type of problem.
Placement Experience
Placement facilities are also good . They placed almost 60 percent student every year. And placement packaged are around 4 to 6 lakh per annum. There are many renowned company which approaches our university such as Deloitte, Excedence , TCS , Accenture etc for Data analyst, risk analyst, financial analyst, research analyst profile.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is very low . No one will believe to hear this fre structure. Examination fees can vary between 500 to 700 depending on subject what we choose. There are available many scholarship facilities such as Kanyashree , aikyashree ,svmcm etc. There are also available placement facilities . Generally 60 percent student get placed from this campus (only economics) but only this year due to recession only very less students get placed
Campus Life
Infrastructure facilities are top notch level. Proper lab facilities are available for practical. Library facilities are Available and there are available many books , articles and previous year question which we needed , no shortage of any book. There are not club facilities. Only placement group and CR group are made . The classroom are well equipped with projector , Ac , proper chair. Some social program are conducted such as freshers and farewell program , Rabindra jayanti program etc
Admission
Admission process are very simple. Generally entrance exam was conducted for admission but I took admission just after COVID so I didn't give any entrance exam. But cutt off was very high. At least 70 percent marks in graduation are mandatory to take admission in this university on the merit basis. Application form are generally found on University official website in August. There are not available reservation benefits.
Faculty
First of all faculties are very educated and experienced and their teaching method is fabulous. their approach to teach student are extremely good . They are able to clear all doubts of student no matter how many times student asked. Infact they personaly guide students if theyget less time in class. I am very inspired from my all professor.
