Dinhata College an Overview

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

The college has integrated internships into its 4-year undergraduate National Curriculum Framework (NCCF) programs. Notably, an internship course was announced for students enrolled in the 4-year NCCF, with details available on the college's notice board. Dinhata College organizes summer internships for its students. For instance, an important notice regarding the 2nd Semester Summer Internship Programme was posted on May 22, 2024.

Hi, this is Animesh Barman speaking I have completed the three year B.A course in English Honours from Dinhata College. The College is evolving day day but what should be discussed more acutely is that it provides great faculty members. During these three year I had to pay a total amount of Rs.12600(per semester 1500+ 600 exam fee). It provides us scholarship of some Rs. 3600 in total, to avail this scholarship individual student must need 60% per year. Therefore I would say if you are pursuing B.A in English Honours then this college will be an option to be choosed.

The College is immensely popular for cultural function in Dinhata. Although it lacks its popularity due to some local political issue. Without those issues the College is immensely enriched in cultural functions. Though the sport section need to improve.

To make it easy I would like to tell you that I am not a bright student, especially my science ground was really poor. I could barely manages to qualify 10th examination with help of arts subject. After 12th I applied to Dinhata College and A.B.N Seal College. But I couldn't make it to A.B.N Seal just because my 10th result was poor enough, that's why I choose Dinhata College as a second option. But this second option provided me many opportunities that I qualified UGC NET to apply for PhD in my first attempt though I couldn't make it to JRF. But I hope good for the next time.

The faculty members are really very kind-hearted, they help us in every aspect. Almost everyone of the faculty members are good Jay Mukherjee, a very kind-hearted and soft person, Mahadev sir is also fabulous in his character, Avishek sir though rude and full of anger is also a soft person when it comes to travel, picnic and many more. The two Madams that we have Sampa Debnath and Shirin Jahan Islam is also very kind. Their norms portray a moderate, intelligent yet beautiful woman. There was in total two semester exam per year consisting of 4 or 5 papers. The most important thing is that the paper is very much essential for the UGC NET perspective.

The locality is safe but as we didn't have any evening class so I am unable to provide any such data. The College was closed after 4p.m. Though gym is not yet introduced in our college yet some sports like cricket is played there.
