Remarks

Management system of our college is very good result exam every thing becomes on time staff members are also good and helping overall i love my college there may be some problem but these problems are every where even also in iits overall nit silchar is a very good place learn grow enjoy and fullfill your dream.

AIEEE, I am a electrical engineering graduate i have other options like mechanical and civil but i choosed it beacause i love it.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was good but some useless subjects are there. The course was more interesting and knowledgeble if some other electrical related subject are there instead of those subjects like eng graphics and some managment subject in every odd sems.

Internships Opportunities

Many national international companies like Samsung, LG and some psus visits every year for internship and placements they offer a good salary package and stipend to students.

Placement Experience

There are many companies visit our college every year and most of students got place with a good salary packages companies like Ntpc, ONGC power grid who offers more then 10 lacs per annum and some multinational like samsung offers up to 8 to 10 lacs per annum.

Technoesis - it is a tech fest name of our college in which students shows there technical brilliancy in this event many other college students take part Incandescense- it is the main cultural fest of our college celebrated every year in which we see performance of students from different culture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a government college so fee structure is feasible it is almost 25000 per semester it is not so expensive for poor students there is various scholarship scheme is also available.

A SBI branch is inside the college campus which provides loan for students college management provides scholarship for meritorious students.there is some scholarship and rebate scheme also available for poor students on hostel basis.

Gender ratio in my college is approximately 4:1 boys: girls there are many parties and events organised interhostel and intra hostel level in which boys and girls take part and get prizes. some cultural problem arises due to difference but it gets sorted out.college campus consists a top level indoor and out door stadium. There is a student union body which name is gymkhana union the vice president general secretary and many posts elected every year through election.

Hostel Facilities

It gives 100 % hostel facilty to students rooms are well furnished and very good im 3rd and 4th year students get single room otherwise double or tripple beded rooms for junior students, Mess run by student it quality og food totally dependent on student who took charge of mess.

Alumni/Alumna

This is the advantage of our college that it gives opportunity to meet allumni every year. They arrange a fest name allumni meet in which students meet and learn from their experiences.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good its not very frequent in every 4 month mid semester exam happens and there are also Class test which marks includes i main exam so overall examd are not so much stressfull.

Faculty

Some are very good but some are below your expectation and they take andvantage of deemed university students fear to take any action against them. These are disadvantage of every deemed university. But there are also some very good quality faculties who always help students with their knowledge and experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Digboi college and my experience through it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

Good placement and affordable

Placement Experience:

Placements start from 7th semester (4th Year). Companies like Amazon, Legato, TCS, Synopsis, etc. visit for on campus placements. We have a very good placement ratio and average package. For CSE, the average package was 13 LPA and 92% students were placed. While for ECE, the average package was 8 LPA and 66% students were placed. I'm planning on gaining work experience for 2 years after my B.Tech and then pursue MS Or M.Tech from abroad.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Distance is the only issue.

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.

I had given JEE Mains in 2022 through which I got NIT Silchar ,civil engineering.I came under economically weaker section, so I filled this seat.Application form was circulated by the government of India so I get the information from there and my parents also.I dont think any improvent is needed in JOSAA mechanism but WE can improve one thing that is 75% eligibility criteria.My college is overall good but lack of good infrastructure and proper managment impacts too much in the placements and Internships. My College experience

1. Eligibility of the course is, you should crack jee main entrance exam then you are eligible for this course. 2.You can find application form at NTA official website. and application form date is not fixed it varies. But its start almost 1month before the exam held. Maximum time exam was conducted in jan or feb.So you should touch with NTA website. 3.for obc you can get admission in less 3-4 pecentile compared to general. And for Sc ST it becomes more low. In my college if you are obc and you have homestate quota, you can get admission at 85 percentile in civil. if you want cse then it will be 93-94 percentile. For SC ST its more easier to get admission in respective branch. One thing I want to highlight that for obc and ews its almost similar in case of percentile. For otherstate it is a little bit higher.
