Remarks

A good college which is very disciplined as there are strict guidelines for minimum of 75% attendance failing which students are debarred from final semester exams. There is proper college uniform and time is very important for entering the college. The faculties are interactive and helpful, have good knowledge of the industry trends.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculties are good and are focused on teaching us the basic knowledge of respective streams. The labs have adequate equipment as well and all are functional. The college arranges for many internships with renowned companies. There are a lot of industrial and site visits fir practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

4.5

IBM, WIPRO, CTS, Byjus, Extramarks, UPGRAD are some of the MNCs that visited our college for placements. Every company takes a written test of aptitude and logical reasoning. IT companies take tests of coding also. This is followed by group discussions and then interview. The interview is also divided in 2 parts. 1st is the technical part and 2nd is the HR part. On an average 80% of students has 1 or 2 job offers. Institute calls experts and guidance is provided starting from 3rd year for clearing exams of different companies and learning the basics to get a placement.

College Events

2.5

Freshers, Tech fest, Cultural fest, Annual athletics, Cricket championship, basketball championship, football championship. Colleges from Kolkata and West Bengal are invited to our college to participate in the fests and the footfall is generally 20000/day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee is 480000 for 4 years. The mode accepted are cash/card/cheque. Additional cbarges are security money if 15000 which is refunded after successful completion of course. In every semester a sum of 1000 rs is paid as examination fees. Yes the college provides full transparency in fee-breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. My college didn't provided any scholarships. Although is awarded meritorious students a sum of 20000 every semester who used to top their respective courses.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratios are quite equal with ratio of 1male : 1 female. The college has adequate labs and equipments which are quite helpful to learn about the practical applications of a subject. The college doesn't have a big playground so sports are less played in college campus. Although we have a basketball court and indoor games such as badminton, table tennis, carrom etc. The college organises many literary competitions such as debates, essay writing competitions around the year. It also hosts many workshops organised by IITs. I haven't lived in hostel but we used to organise Teacher's day and farewell parties for teachers. As it is located in Kolkata, the environment is quite liberal. Nobody is judges based on any physical appearances or religion basis. Students and teachers are quite interactive and helpful.

Hostel Facilities

4

No. I rented an apartment with my batchmates and used to cook food in that apartment only. The average rentals are Rs 3000-4000. The homemade food is good for health and is cheaper also as it costs point 1500 rs per month if you are living in shared flats. The overall living cost in Kolkata is less in comparison to other metropolitian cities and you can save time wasted in travelling if you live near to the college.

Alumni/Alumna

As my batch is the second batch which is going to passout, the alumnis of our college are still growing. They help us in our times of need in situations like studies and final year projects. They also help us in getting internships in companies which they work in.

Admission

I was good at mechanics from the beginning, and I was fascinated about the tall structures and wanted to know about their process of construction, so I chose Civil Engineering as my stream. This college doesn't has a high merit list and accepts mediocre students as well. All you need to do to take admission in this college is give WBJEE or JEE Mains exam and show the marksheet and 12th class result. You must have scored atleast 65% in 12tg exams.

Faculty

4.5

In my course, we had a total of 10 lecturers who were from premiere institutions. They all had M. Tech. degress in their respective fields. Our HoD was a retired IES officer and had huge experience on practical aspects of the subject. Every professor needed to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in work.

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
