Best place for reasearch in biology in India.

Some professors are out of their mind. Not anyone in bio department, but definitely in physics and chemistry departments.

The exams and teachings are research driven. The motto of the college is to prepare the brilliant young minds to think like a scientist. There wouldn't be any placement as such for students. But the research experiences you get here will definitely get you a phd anywhere in the world.

The students have to individually apply for internship opportunities around the world. There is no industrial placement as such. Most people do get fully funder internships in labs around the world.

The student community is free to organise and celebrate any festival or events with discipline. There is often dj nights in campus, sometimes twice a month. As the campus have a very diverse community, almost all festival across India is celebrated here, from pongal to lodhi.

Feasibile. Early fee is around 1 lakh. Students here are also provided with scholarship from MHRD. The college accepts net banking and card payment from all major banks. The college does gives a detailed break down of the fees, including tuition,gym,library, sport facility.

The Minsitry of Human Resource and Development provides scholarship for students getting in through IISER APTITUDE TEST and JEE ADVANCED. KVPY scholarship are provided for kvpy fellows.

Amazing campus life. There is no discrimination of any sort inside the campus. Here everyone is treated as equal. Even faculties are open to critisism and doesn't have to be scared to point out their mistakes. There are several club activities inside the campus to promote cultural activities, robotics, general knowledge, language and poetry and so on.

Yes the alumni network is really helpful. The students from this campus are all over the world working on cutting edge researches. Their network helps young minds find right research labs.

I chose this course because I was so keen to do research in biology. IISER Mohali was ranked the best for biology in India by nature index. I took the admission through IISER APTITUDE EXAM. Students can also opt for admission through kvpy exams and Jee advanced.

The faculties are amazing, especially for biology. Other departments too are good but not the best. Most faculties are super friendly and will provide with any facility in their labs to do research experiments. Faculties also help you in connecting with labs abroad for internships.
