Anonymous's Review On Jesus And Mary College - [JMC], New Delhi

I choose this college because it is one of the renowned and the best all-women college of the University of Delhi. While researching to get the best in the market, JMC topped the list in all its amenities. Known for its amazing performance in academics, extracurricular and sports to be specific. Commerce Department is familiar to be the most active and rising one in JMC. It has it's own so many societies from finance, management, marketing, etc. To get an opportunity to be a part of this epitome, was a privilege for me.

There is a vast variety of courses offered in every department. The course curriculum is very flexible, extracurricular and society activities are always taken into account while framing any policy for the students, therefore deducing that teachers are never inconsiderate about the students. Regular tests and assignments are taken to make us thorough with topics, projects and presentations are introduced to make the course interactive. The doubt clearing sessions are informative as well enriching, faculty has always taken the extra mile to assist the queries. As a part of our industrial exposure our we have had trips to various private firms, we have also had the opportunity to visit The Rajya Sabha.

We have placements offered for every course in our college. Company's like Wipro, Deloitte, FIS, CVENT, etc gives our campus a yearly visit. They often snatch away the best talent from our college, offering the position of managers, assistants, executives, and so forth. History states that almost 50% of the batch gets placed. My critique for my placement cell would be, that job role could be more contrasting if they really look into the opportunities. And more professionalism could be maintained from the company's side.

Jesus and Mary is indulged in a vibrant cultural practice. JMC holds a society event almost every day. It seems we celebrate festivals in the form of these events. Every department presents its specialization in these events. From raising funds during the event, through bake sale or book sale stalls. To getting young talent as their star performers of the event. The annual fest of JMC is one of the most-awaited, it grabs a footfall of 3000-4000 students every year.

Jesus and Mary's infrastructure has always been the talk of the town. It has an ample amount of space to showcase every activity. From having an enormous library, consisting of the latest editions, to a gigantic ground, being one of the largest among all the colleges of the University of Delhi. College also has room for budding photographers, as nature is in the best behavior here. It also has computer labs, an open area for the gym as well as a well equipped closed one. A large indoor hall along with an open area for theatre practices. All in all JMC's infrastructure package has been really impactful and has raised the bar in our future expectations organizations.
