Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is apt for getting a job after the course. The facilities are excellent being the college is relatively small compared to the other government Engineering Colleges in the state. High pass percentage and good placement records are the highlights of this college. Lot's of fun and memories still persist in my mind. Definitely missing those days.

Good, a lots of companies are offering jobs in GECK. Among the companies, the IT and service based offers are coming comparatively excess. Infosis, TCS, South Indian Bank etc are the regular visitors to this institution.

College Events

Lakshya celebration conducted every year. It's the technical festival of Government Engineering College Kozhikode. Malhar is the arts festival of government Engineering College Kozhikode. The winners of the events will get a chance to compete to state level representing the college in University youth festival's.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible fee structure. Fee is very less since it's a government Engineering college. For MTech fee = 19000/annum only. For BTech fee= 6000 - 7000/ annum only. Scholarship facility such as Egrands are available to help the students to achieve their degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available such as E grands (for students having annual income less than one lakh) for both BTech and MTech students. Gate scholarships for MTech offered By MHRD through gate exams for MTech degree.

Campus Life

Campus life is Owsome and is cheerful. Labs are fully equipped and functioning well. Malhar and Lakshya are competing events. Gender ratio is uniform. SFI rules the Campus. Student's have a voice and freedom. After the course all students will become a wonderful human with Engineering skills.

Hostel Facilities

No hostel for boys. But paying guest facilities are available near by. For girls, hostels are available but the capacity is less. It's of 150 persons. Others can access, paying guest facilities that are available nearby.

Hostel Fee: INR 52500 per yearExternal Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna

Strong alumini network in Dubai and UAE. Most of the seniors are placed in the firm in UAE. Sponsorships are funding for the technical events are obtained from the Alumini networks around the globe.

Admission

State merit prepared by government of kerala. For BTech admissions, from rank list of KEAM and for MTech admissions, from Gate score or from BTech percentage. Allotment rules are based on government rules and policies. Chemical Engineering is the future and I like Chemical Engineering so I opted it.

Faculty

Excellent facilities. Provision for e - learning platform. Edusat room facility. Most of faculties are PhD holders. Availability of Project funds for good and feasible projects. Encourages faculties with research facilities. Good and small library facilities with in the departments. Availability of good guides and resources.

Student centered campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are good. As I understand each students get minimum 20 company interview chances. students are placeed in TCS, Johson & Johson, eependorf, cipla, infosys etc. i think some where around 50000 per month was the highest. lowest is 15 k i believe.

M.Tech in IIST: My review

Placement Experience:

I wanted to continue my research work and that is why I did not take part in the final placement process. The highest salary package offered was Rs.11 LPA and the average salary of Rs.6 LPA. Acsia technologies, Aadyah aerospace, Antrix corporation, COMSOL-India, HCL, Infosys, Intel, and zentron were some of the top organizations recruited in our final placement program.

IIT Palakkad performs admirably under the direction of IIT Madras, and the college's placement record is as impressive. The college achieves a placement rate of 100 percent. The placement committee at the college is so dedicated that they are able to not only attract good firms but also assist us during the placement stages. Our batch's maximum package was 35 LPA, while the average package was roughly 15 LPA. During the placement drive, companies such as Google, Arista Network, TCS Research, McKinsey, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, and Microsoft visited the campus.

In a very short period of time the college us able to match the standards of IIT. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the college internship program. The college was able to provide the highest package of around 30 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. Arista Network, Google, TCS Research, Mckinsey, Honeywell, Texas instruments and Larson and Toubro were the top recruiters. Almost more than 65+ companies participated in the college placement drive.

Small but Evident

Remarks:

The institute is small. It has an intake capacity of 100 students per batch thus the atmosphere is not vibrant .Plus it only has one subject t teach, Computer Science thus inter-departmental interactions are impossible.

Good college with good faculty

I chose this college because this is a government college.I applied to all the government colleges in kerala for KEAM 2024 allotement proces and this college was my 6 th option.I got allotement at this college this way. We need to get a decent rank in KEAM exam to get into here.
