Remarks

Every thing inside the college is very nice but the only bad thing is the place that it's situated in

Course Curriculum Overview

We generally two semisters,each semister will have two parts one is mid semister examination and another is end semister examination,the pointer scheme followed by our college is absolute pointer scheme and cgpa will be given as a result,all kinds of labs are available in college and they also supports industry based skills.

Placement Experience

The placement of the college is good but still needs to be improved,nearly 70% getting placed and remaining wants to pursue furthur education,the major companies are amazon,relaince,quicr,jio,goldmansachs,arcesium etc.they generally follow common method in placements as other colleges,exam and then group discussion and then interview

Our college have excellent fests,we have both technical and cultural fests namely tecnoesis for technical events and incandescence for cultural events,in technical we will events like robosoccer,robowars,robobuild, and other robotics events and also coding competitions and one spark night and in cultural completely entertaining event s will be there

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college fees is 1,20,000 approximately for semister including all hostel tution and everything,but the fees varies according to the category that the particular student belongs to.and also fees varies according to the caste and family income,there are three income categories above 5 lakhs,1-5 lakhs,below one lakh

I opted for external scholarship that was given by some private organisations like nsp they first of all consider parents annual income and then score of different previos classes

Our campus life is very good, gender ratio is approximately 1girl for 4 boys there is no gender inequality at all all are very friendly,our college concentrates very well on extra curricular activities and competetions, competition s like robotics are held as a part of technical fest

Hostel Facilities

Every hostel room has 2 people,it contains bed table and chair for for each student,the hostel fees will be included in the college fees and rooms are good and comfortable with all the basic eminities.

Here in our college senior students are very helpfull and even many startup are done by the interaction of students from different years.

I got admission into this college by joint entrance examination rank,it is an national level importance college,I got the rank and later in councelling according to my rank I got seat in this college and the name of councelling is josaa which comes under central govt

In our college there are nearly 350 staff and there are six branches in our college each branch has nearly equal number of staff,they are very talented and most of them are PhD graduate s and mtech graduates their average age would be nearly 30-40 years

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Digboi college and my experience through it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

I choosed because my CEE marks which was 92 at that time was not enough to get admission in govt engineering colleges and the OBC cut off was 120+. So, in Whole northeast Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is the no 1 and the oldest private engineering college and I decided to take admission there.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Distance is the only issue.

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.

I had given JEE Mains in 2022 through which I got NIT Silchar ,civil engineering.I came under economically weaker section, so I filled this seat.Application form was circulated by the government of India so I get the information from there and my parents also.I dont think any improvent is needed in JOSAA mechanism but WE can improve one thing that is 75% eligibility criteria.My college is overall good but lack of good infrastructure and proper managment impacts too much in the placements and Internships. My College experience

1. Eligibility of the course is, you should crack jee main entrance exam then you are eligible for this course. 2.You can find application form at NTA official website. and application form date is not fixed it varies. But its start almost 1month before the exam held. Maximum time exam was conducted in jan or feb.So you should touch with NTA website. 3.for obc you can get admission in less 3-4 pecentile compared to general. And for Sc ST it becomes more low. In my college if you are obc and you have homestate quota, you can get admission at 85 percentile in civil. if you want cse then it will be 93-94 percentile. For SC ST its more easier to get admission in respective branch. One thing I want to highlight that for obc and ews its almost similar in case of percentile. For otherstate it is a little bit higher.
