Remarks

The college must hire quality faculties who understands students and who makes lessons interesting not the ones who instill hatred and fear for a subject. They must improve their labs, provide options for fees payment.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I would not like to blame the college directly. Because the college is under the university MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (previously known as WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY). So in the name of semester i.e of 6 months we get only 4 and a half months for completing syllabus. Now in a semester we have 4 internal exams and a semester exam. So there is hardly any time for completion of syllabus. Yes there was a single industrial visit to Diamond Beverages Pvt. Limited on 18th April 2019. I am a 3rd year student. So until now only 1 industrial visit was done.

Placement Experience

1.5

I am a student of 3rd year. So I am not eligible for a interview. But what I have heard from my seniors that some companies come but most of them are IT sector jobs which are suitable for IT or CSE students. But hardly any core company comes for placement for Electrical or Civil students. But let's discuss about the placement for IT jobs. There is generally an online exam with General Reasoning, Logical Aptitute and a few programing questions. From there students are selected and moved for a Group discussion and them for Personal Interview. So from a pool of 100 students, around 10-12 studw to finally get the job.

College Events

1.5

Hardly any events are organised for the BTech department. I mean the management doesn't want to allot funds. Whenever we ask the management for organizing a fest they reply that we don't have any funds. If you can bring sponsors you can organize but we don't have the funds to organize.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The corse fees for BTech is ? 3.73 lacs. These doesn't include the exam fees. So the regular exam fees is ?1200 and for the backlog exam fees is ?1000. For payments of corse fees they accept only CASH or DD. And for the submission of exam fees the accept only CASH. They have no ways for ONLINE PAYMENT or DEBIT CARD or CREDIT CARD. They don't even have cash counting machine.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the Government of West Bengal have a facility for the economically poor students by providing then tution fees wavier. So on average we have to pay ?44000 on average every semester. But for a Tution Fees Wavier student he or she have to lay only ?6000. This is the following fees:- Tution Fees :- ?38000 Special Facility Fees:- ?5000 Library Fees:- ?500 Student's Welfare and Games Fees :- ?500 So for a Tution Fees Wavier student, he or she has to pay ?6000.

Campus Life

0.5

When I was in 1st year, we got a freshers party in 2017. But afterwards no freshers party was organised. Coming to labs, half of the machines are not serviced. For us in labs we divide the batch in a student of 7 and 6 student. If the 1st batch completes their task the next batch won't be able to complete their task. The half of the equipments don't work. They are not serviced.

Alumni/Alumna

We don't have any alumni. We don't want to return to our college after completing graduation. After 4 years of torture we don't want ti interact with any of our college professors.

Admission

The ranks of WBJEE or JEE doesn't matter. If you want to get an admission just visit the college and they will give you an admission form without even looking at the 10+2 result or WBJEE or JEE rank. They hardly have students so the ranks results don't even matter to them. What matters the most is the have a chance to admit a student in their college.

Faculty

1

One of the worst. Never cooperates with the students. No experience. Doesn't even know how to deal with students. Always tells you that marks are the only thing. Never focuses on skills. And the main think is that they lack communication skills. If you argue with a teacher, he/she will give you less marks in the internal exams as a result of which you will be getting less marks. No relevance to the practical industry. Only you have to learn the book.

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
