Remarks

There is an atmosphere in college that is very depressing. You feel stressed once you enter the campus of college. There are no extra curricular activities in college. Canteen of college is not upto the mark. Food menu is cheap but the quality of the food is bad.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The 2 year post graduation here is very challenging than other colleges. There are 4 semester in DSE(Delhi school of Economics) and in each semester there are 2 midterms and 1 endterm examination. Course structure in dse is very hectic. Passing rate here is almost 50-60%. It’s very good institution if you want to go into research.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are in software side only but I am not much in that way. I am love with core side. College provide internships and industrial visits. within time, so it is excellent and throughly intrested in all activities and learning new.

College Events

3

There is no festivals celebrated in dse. There is only 1-2 societies namely prayaas( holds sanitation drive in campus, organise blood donation camp etc) and research cell(which helps student to how to go with research if you have any idea).

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible and I guess it is the cheapest for post graduation in economics. Fee structure includes library membership fee, lab fee and other expenses. Fee is around 8k per year. There is scholarships available for financial weak students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I know dse provides some scholarships since I wasn’t eligible for scholarships so I haven’t gathered much information about scholarships. Scholarships are given on the basis of the rank in the entrance examination.

Campus Life

4.5

The labs are full of eqipment and are used for self works also. the sports meets, journals, tournament are conducted throughout the year. the girls same as boys, the workshops are conducted when the chances are arrived.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful in guiding how to go through the course and help us choosing the optional papers. They also tell us about the placement and internship session and how to prepare for them. I personally haven’t noticed any alumni network.

Admission

I got admission through entrance. DSE is obviously one of the best colleges for post graduation in economics. I choose this college over others because of it’s low fees and reputation this institution has.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty are very young as well as interactive, thry resolve our problem of studies as well as personal they are just like friends, so we like to attend lecture and sit with them a while, while all faculty members are persuing there PHD degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always held that the training I recieved during my masters programme prepared the grounds for my future development. The teaching pedagogy was centres around participation and a two way dialogue. I am not in the capacity to be suggesting improvements in curriculum as my stint in the university was almost perfect- more than I could have ever asked for.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed by the renowned professors and faculty members from different universities in India and from abroad as well. The content was choosen keeping in mind to cover all the aspects of the specific subject for a pg student. As I mentioned before, the quality of study material was very good and helpful and very enough. But the pg thesis is missing from our course, due to which we were not able to do a research project. It appears to me after the completion of my first year that we can do our research under our given faculty but it wasn't mentioned in the course structure as it is mainly upto our faculties.

In IGNOU, you can study from anywhere because the courses are offered in distance and online mode. You don’t have to attend regular college; you can study at home using the books, PDFs, and online lectures. IGNOU also provides online teachers through live classes, recorded videos, and doubt-clearing sessions on their online platforms. This makes it easy for students to learn even if they are working or living in another city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.

The course that I opted for is Political Science and it is very relevant to the exam that I am preparing for. I often take help of the online material they provide. It is often recommended curriculum for UPSC/MPSC/political journalism. However they need to provide teachers or short video lectures do that the course become comprehensive.
