Graduation college for girls under Dibrugarh University

The institute is bound to follow the course curriculum and syllabus for all the courses at bachelors level and higher level as recommended by the Dibrugarh University. The course comprises of subject divided into various categories like core, electives and optional. Examinations apart from the internal evaluation and assessments are conducted in semester wise fashion.

Recruitment cell of the college provides personality development training, communication skills training, and aptitude test training to the students to make them job ready. However, during campus placement job offers of round 2 to 2.3 LPA are offered and for good opportunities one has to make efforts on their own. Internships or on the job training are not a part of our course curriculum.

Duffy charged by your college for the entire program duration of B.A. is is around Rs 20,000. The amount is not to be submitted at once during the time of admission but part by part at the start of new academic year.

The state government of Assam scholarship under specialised into the girls student. I applied for the scholarship on the basis of being domicile of the state and fulfilling the other eligibility criterias and got the scholarship sanctioned. Apart from the scholarship for girls scholarships are also offered for students who are from reserved categories or are from economically weaker sections of the society.

Extra curricular activities and opportunities for students in our college are mostly limited to indoor activities like art and craft, painting, mehndi making etc. Events celebration like the annual fest, cultural fest, freshers party, etc are part off campus celebrations. Based on the facilities and surrounding atmosphere I can say that our college stands good on infrastructure and facilities scale.

Main admission to the college was done on on the basis of my aggregate percentage at 10 + 2 level. I scored 95 percentage in humanities stream and was able to make it to the college through direct application. Admission to our college are also done based on various quotas like the sports quota.

Since I am studying in the college for past one and half years I have made an assessment that the faculty here is good. However the focus is more on getting the syllabus completed rather than making student understand the concept an application part of the subject.
