Hemo Prova Borbora Girls' College, Golaghat was established in 1969, It is the only girls' college in Golaghat district under Dibrugarh University. The prime objective of establishing the college was to foster the advancement of higher Education among females in the rural areas of Golaghat district. The college is permanently affiliated to D.U as well as registered under provision of UGC. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) have visited the college.
The college has a hostel accommodation for deserving students within the campus. The college hostel is managed by the college under hostel rules providing all necessary facilities to the boarders and the college has a large and rich library with a good number of books and a good number of daily and weekly newspapers are also subscribed for all readers. The college also provides high speed internet facilities with at least one computer on each department connecting the students with the rest of the world.

Our course syllabus is good. It is prepared by Dibrugarh University because our college is affiliated by Dibrugarh University. Our college has excellent faculties. The teaching faculties of our college is very good. The professors are well educated and experienced.

Hemoprova Girls college is a one of the Assam's best girl's college. For many years our college played a major role to develop girl's education in Assam. Most importantly the college give admission to those students who get lower marks in Higher secondary examination.

I have not scored very good in Higher Secondary examination. Hemo Prova Borbora college give admission to that girl's who get low marks. 2ndly this is the only girls college near our district and very secure for girls so that I select this college.
