Entrance Preview

No entrance exam. It was Cut off system. It was based on 12th Class percentage. I was determined to go for this course and I had no other choice planned.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very good. It include two practical field trip out station. The subjects are good and creates a standard basic level knowledge in the core subject. 3rd year include more practical subjects such as Petroleum geology, Remote sensing and GIS.

Internships Opportunities

No, college does not provide any internship. We have to personally look for internships and apply. Stipend is usually low that covers the basic living costs since most of those institutes that provide internship are government body.

Placement Experience

3

There is no placement facility in this course, so students either go for higher education or look for other institute that have placement opportunities. However other courses have very good placement opportunities such as Business management. Many companies come for such courses and there is a placement cell build for the same purpose.

College Events

5

There is a big annual fest Confluence, that happen every year. Other than that, each co-curricular societies of college organise events in college premises. Enactus organise various talks and events in the college. Also, each department has its own farewell and freshers event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very feasible. It is around 10 thousand per year which includes all facilities. We have to pay that annually. But other than that, we also have to pay the examination fee in addition to the main fee every semester which is around 1 thousand (Depending upon the number of subjects and practicals).

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a number of scholarships available by government bodies. However college does not provide any scholarships .

Campus Life

4

Campus life is best in Hans Raj College. There are a lot of things happening in college all the time. Canteen area is very famous for hangout in break time. Societies can seen practising and planning event.Gender ratio is almost equal with diversity of out-state students.Labs are clean and tidy with complete equipments. Archery and shooting is very famous in college. There is separate indoor playing area and a large outdoor playing ground.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is the best among all the Delhi University colleges. Mess food is very good and hygienic. Two juniors get to live in a single room wile seniors get a full room. Seats are very limited and competition is very high to get hostel. Average rental goes upto 70-80 thousand per year.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are always there to help. A Alumni meet happens every year were students can interact with them and learn about their field.

Exam Structure

The exam is usually easy with a pattern having 8 questions where we have a choice to attempt any 5 questions. This choice based structure helps a lot. The exam happens in the end of semester. Only Internal happens in the end month of the semester. Other than that there are no exams whatsoever. Small class test may be held depending upon the teacher.

Faculty

3.5

The faulty is highly professional and most of the senior professors have worked for more than five years in their respective fields. They have a very good hands on knowledge on the subject. Their way of teaching helps learn new things very quickly. Even the Associate professors have a very good hold on making subject easier to learn.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
