Remarks

Houses a small Campus in terms of Area. But that increases exposure. People having multiple talents study here and interact with each other. Mostly student run. This brings in amazing hostel food in cheap rates. Very strong alumini. They provide guidance and support to most students. Very enthusiastic crowd when it comes to technology and arts.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course follow the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (Kerala Technological University). The internals are in 50 marks. Divided among two internal exams and assignment. The course is robust and resonably sized.

Placement Experience

5

Our college boasts of the Highest placement track record in Kerala. The payment ranges from 3LPA to 24LPA. The placement cell facilitates companies of almost all sizes to recruit and/ or perform internship drives.

College Events

5

Excel is the annual tech fest conducted in MEC. It has over 500+ contestants every year. It is the second tech fest conducted in India. Arts and Sports are conducted every year. It holds a rolling cup. And brings out MEC in all its glory. Apart from these major events, the major clubs include IEEE, Foss Cell, IEDC, Debate and many more. All these clubs conduct events from conferences to meet ups.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Merit -30,000 INR per year Normal - 60,000 INR per year NRI - 1,00,000 INR per year It is fairly feasible and provides concessions to people who can not afford it. An additional ?1700 is paid every sem as exam registration fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally Haven't availed any scholarship. However, the Kerala State provides concession and scholarship to students based on income. Indian Military also provide scholarship for children of military personnel.

Campus Life

3.5

MEC houses multiple clubs all active and ranges from Mental health to technology. MEC has a near half gender ratio and is very tolerant towards minority communities from LGBTQ, and ethnically diverse people.

Alumni/Alumna

MEC has a highly functional Alumini network. They are always approachble. And are highly supportive. I have had Aluminis help me with my career and more. They are a part of the placement cell and are core to the functioning of college activities.

Admission

The admission process happens on the basis of the KEAM marklist. After the KEAM exam results comes, one can apply for colleges and courses online. The finalised result would be published after a total of 4-5 rounds.

Faculty

4.5

Being a Government run institution, the faculty are highly qualified and experienced. Their degrees vary from M.Tech a d Masters to Doctorates. The faculty is highly cooperative and helpful. They also are reasonable. Not too overboard and not too mild.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
