Remarks

The college is very restrictive and not at all flexible about attendance. We are forced to attend meaningless classes which we don't even like. A student isn't given the minimum independence that we deserve. It's really a jail

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and the exam structure is not bad. It's really good. But I feel like there can be improvements on the subject choice and syllabi since I think it's useless for a first year student of CSE department to study engineering drawing

Placement Experience

I have no idea about internships but the placement is kinda nice in our college compared to the other ones. Since it's a private institution, companies come to our college to recruit the students and also since most of them are our alumnis

College Events

The technical event innovacion is pretty big. We have a lot of events in that fest like gaming, coding, etc. There are other events like conferences, cultural event like iempact which brings many artists in our college and we have fun for few days

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. The charge is not too high for a college. But we have to spend a lot in buying workbooks and other instruments which feels very expensive and useless since we wouldn't even use them after a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides tuition fee waiver scheme for the persons with low family income. It's really well for them. I have availed for that facility and it really helps me out to manage my expenses since I wouldn't have been able to pay for it otherwise

Campus Life

We have a gym. The sports facility is good. We get to have a mandatory gym class every week. The labs are also decent. The computers are up to the mark for coding purposes and the chemistry and physics labs are not too bad

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really helpful. Unlike some colleges, we aren't exposed to any kind of ragging or anything. They help us with the temporary equipments that otherwise we would've had to buy for ourselves

Admission

I was always interested in pursuing higher studies in computer science. And by my rank in JEE I got this college. I did hear good reviews about it. So I joined it. But now it seems to be very restrictive.

Faculty

There are a lot of arrogant and oversmart professors who are not at all lenient and don't want to admit their mistakes. But there are always few who are better than the rest and I love those professors. I think they should join as a teacher in better colleges

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
