Remarks

The college is great as it is north campus and so the all the colleges in north campus area are great and it has an environment of studying and reasoning. The students teachers and everyone are helpful in nature. In my opinion for three years, if you are here for study and some fun then you are at the right place. It totally depends on a students, how much he she wants to study and what are his limits.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My course was Anthropology Hons, and all the classes for this course were taken in the Department of Anthropology, the environment of the department was far better for learning and research as compared with the college. There was peace in the department and less of hustle bustle like in college. It has made me a well behaved person in every situation. There were lot of events happening day by day in the college also, and from which a child can learn a lot. There were cultural fest, food fest and many other quizzes and events which help in the overall development of a child.

Placement Experience

3.5

In my course there was no placements, but for the Bcom Hons. there were a lot of placement which a student can learn about in the placement cell or by contacting them. There is a proper seminar on placement in the last year.

College Events

4.5

There are lot of fests and you can go to any college in their fest too only with your ID card. Freshers and farewells these are every year and all the students enjoy them. There is annual fest named confluence which lasts for 3 days or so, in which the bollywood celebs or punjabi singers come and students have all the fun.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is not too much, for the department courses the fees is around 20-25 thousand. But for other courses it is even less. My fees was 22 thousand. And if someone is from EWS then with one interview the fees can be reduced to even very less and may be all of it can be redeemed. But for one year 22 thousand is a normal fees with so much that we get from it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't. But there are a lot of scholarship which one can opt for to reduce the fees and to get some extra money, like academic excellence scholarship and even in sports.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is great and you will find people from all over the country and even from abroad. The students here live in peace. The students who came from far distance can get a room in hostels or they can even opt for the pg and flats which are easily available here and can be rented easily.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

No, I haven't. But one of my friend had opted for it. He said the food is great and the living of hostel Life is great. The non veg students get meat 5 times a week and everyday sweets are given to the students.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, it depends on you the nature of the campus is good and all the students are helpful in nature, oy you have to go and ask them they will not automatically help without asking, they can provide you with necessary notes and assignments.

Admission

First I registered for the admissions in Delhi University colleges and chosen the courses which I want to choose. Then, cutoffs came with respect to the college and the course. After that I checked it and went to the college in which, I wanted to take the admission. There I submitted all the necessary documents like marksheets, caste certificate if applicable etc. Then I got the admission easily.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty were great and so are the faculties in the department. They were well educated and well behaved and I have seen no partiality in them. They were same for all the students. They are well equipped with all the things which they need to teach a student. They were very friendly in nature and helps you whenever you need any help.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
