Review of Zakir Hudain College

The college is really good. It is located near New Delhi Railway Station. But as compared to other Delhi University Colleges in North Campus, Zakir lacks that vibe of campus. Teaching facilities are really good and classes takes place at time as well.

Delhi University offers a very good syllabus for English students. Honors courses mainly aims on deep study of the subject. Exams are at the end of semester. Continuous evaluation is done through class tests and attendence is also important.

The college provides interships. Msny companies come and hire students and they will get a small payment as stipend. But I dont know much about it as I haven't tried it till now. The seniors will be there to guide.

The college mainly celebrates college fest and the respective department fests. The college fest is conducted by the students union and the department fest is by the respective departments. The participation obviously depends on the interest of students. Department fest will allow the students to come forward with their abilities and talents.

The fee structure is not expensive. It depends on the caste and course. Approximately maximum of 12000 is the fees. Poor students who face financial crisis will get fee concession but it will only get at the end of year.

The college offers fee concession for the students who face financial crisis. The students can apply for all the central government scholarships which includes Central Sector Scholarship, OBC postmetric scholarship etc.

The college really spends a good time on extra curricular activities.Many societies are there which includes debating society, theatre society etc.The college is rich in its diversity as there are students from Kashmir to Kerala.

The college doesn't provide any hostel facilities. We have to find it on our own. There is no pg close to college but after travelling 20 minutes by bus you will reach Laxmi nagar which is basically students area.

Senior students are really helpful. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus. For doing assignments and clearing doubts the seniors are always there to help their juniors.There are many alumnis who owns good position in the society now.

English honors in Delhi University is considered one of the best courses in the University. It has plenty of job offers which include teaching, translators, in media communication etc. Inorder to apply in Delhi University what you have to do is apply online when the university invites application and you have to take admission within three days when the university releases its cutoff. The student should be there during whole admission procedure. Most of the colleges have cutoff above 90. And also don't forget to bring the caste certificate if you are eligible for category like obc, sc, etc.

The faculties are really good and well experienced. They are always there to guide us. The classes are really excellent and it will take us to another level in which our thinking capacity itself changes.
