Remarks

The ddu is great in every expect that one can get. However the administration/office staff in this college are not at all helpful, they just delays the work and made the students wait for their normal procedures in the college. Even in my recent experience when I went to the college for taking my college leaving certificate they made me wait for 4 hours.so in my opinion this is the only area that the college needs to work upon. Rest, I the teaching faculty plus infrastructure of this college is one of the best in whole du.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course b.a prog is good for the students who want to go for the civil services in future, have interest in history, economics etc There are 2 semesters in a year there is no such pressure of studies in this course.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is a deen dayal upadhyaya placement cell of the this college, there are very less opportunities for the students that are enrolled in b.a programme. The companies here provide the job opportunities to b.com (h) bms and science students.

College Events

3

There is a annual fest that is organised by the college commitee i.e kalrav This is a place where ddu lacks, the college fests are highly unorganised. However one can enjoy the departmental fests that are managed by different departments of the college, each department have their different fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees is quite feasible as the college is under the Delhi University, the college rates are subsidised by the government and hence the students do not have the burden of paying the extra fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides the student scolarship to those that are good in acedemics, sports one can apply for scholarship from different places, our college principal/dean also provides help to the students that are in need of funds for studies.

Campus Life

5

The extracurricular activities in the college include the various sports that college offer to our students, students can play basketball, archery, baseball and cricket, badminton There are regular matches of the teams organised in our college Ddu has a whole seprate building for sports just above the canteen. Students whether they are girls or boys both have their equal participation in the sports region.

Alumni/Alumna

The college organises the alumni so that the students that are passout of the college can meet each other. My seniors in this college were very helpful plus when we become senior our juniors were also great.

Admission

The admission procedure of delhi university starts with the cut off lists, the college declares their cut off lists and the students apply for their admission once their result fall as per college requurements. At ddu the administration takes a lot of time to confirm the students admission, there are various checks and many bunch of forms that every student has to fill in order to seek admission. The worst part was that ddu made the students wait in hot summer to get their admissions confirmed, there was no proper room or hall where the students can sit. The good thing now is that ddu has a new campus that is in dwarka and it's infrastructure is mind blowing.

Faculty

5

The faculty here is good especially all the teachers that are newly hired all great they really focus on the students and help them in guiding them with their future. One studying in b.a prog can find vaishali maam for any help. Ddu has also started a mentor student program in which student can discuss their problem or have guidence for future studies from their mentors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because i want to go for government exams and political science is an important subject for clearing government exams As per my info, my curriculum is very close to syllabus for exams like UPSC and SSC For improving teaching methods, projectors should be installed and implemented as it helps us to understand and see it more better The frequency of exam is twice a year as semester exam, and exam is not very tough nor too easy, it is medium level that anyone can score good marks if studied well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Regarding course curriculum, I am not satisfied the additional courses like SAC, VAC, AEC have no purpose, they are just a headache which makes it difficult for students to focus on the main subjects, although I am in favour of GE subjects. The marking scheme of 90 marks written paper and 70 marks for internal is also great. Apart from this talking about political science honours curriculum, I will say it is pretty great, there are difficult concepts and bulky material to study from but it could be improved by reducing the weight/ pressure put up by other subjects- sec,vac...

Companies visit are often at our college like Deloitte, wipro , Infosys , KPMG etc but options are wide only for commerce background students they are limited for arts faculty students like me. Highest package is about 6 to 7 lpa while most of the package ranges between 4 to 6 lpa percentage of students getting are average and they are mostly from comm letce and economic or business background. I would go for journalism and choose IIMC for my master's.
