Remarks

The College is strict about its rules and disciplines but I think they do it for betterment of the students. But I wish some we could have a big Playground inside our college some day. Also after taking our feed back,the college has slowly started to install AC's inside the Classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

The entire course is divided into 8 semesters,with an endsem exam after every sem. Also for each sem exam we have 2 midsem exam. For me the course curriculum is really good with a mixture of both technical and Social knowledge.

Placement Experience

The college promises for 100 percent placement which is exactly the case. But most of the Job offers have a CTC averaging around 3. 5 LPA which is kond of less in this costly world. Also the College refers it's Students for Summer and Winter Internships but for that you need to approach any teacher atleast 6 months before.

College Events

Technical Fest: Innovacion, Spectrum,Iematics Cultural and Management fest:Iempact,Iem Marathon,etc There will be many more names in the list but I can't remember them. You can also Volunteer for each of this events and earn yourself a certificate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is quite expensive averaging around 50000 rs per semester. So I would say it is quite expensive for most of the students,but also you can apply for an educational loan of you want to. In addition to that you have to play examination fees around 1500 rs for each and every Semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know anything about that. But I have heard that the college has a partnership with a bank that provides educational loans at reasonable interest rates. Many of my friends have opted for this Loan scheme.

Campus Life

The Lab Infrastructure is quite good compared to other Engineering colleges in West Bengal. Also there are many Extra Curricular activities organised by the college. This year sports day was celebrated in 2nd of February. We don't have a big ground for playing Cricket, Football inside College premises. But we can play on the rooftop if we want to.

Alumni/Alumna

The Senior Students are quite Frank and helping and there is no place for ragging in our college. Also the Alumni network is very strong. Many ex Students visit the college during college hours and can even consult with teachers in any matter if they want to.

Admission

We had to appear in West Bengal joint entrance examination and then we got admission in this college based on our good rank. Then there is a process of Councelling where you get the list of colleges you can get into with your Wbjee rank. There I had choosen Institute of Engineering and Management.

Faculty

Most of the facilities are very qualified and trained except a few. Also the teachers are good motivators and acts as a perfect guide. We can also approach the facilities during non college hours for any doubt about academics. Also we have a 24*7 open Library.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
