Remarks

Overall a good place to learn CSE but not for other streams of Btech. Placements in Btech Computer science Engineering is good but not so good for mechanical, electrical or civil. However if you are a good student you will surely get a good placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course gives a good in depth knowledge of the subjects and also helps you to prepare for GATE examinations. It helps us to understand and research the practical application so we can implemet the theory and gain experience which helps in securing jobs in the near future. I have done my research and noticed that our course is extremely well planned and is similar to the course of MIT. The practiacal days were not very hectic as we had learnt and also got remedial classes for every practical we did.

Placement Experience

Placements are good and job oportunities are plenty for CSE Students. The College gives internship based on our attendance and marks. The overall experience is good and the stipend directly reduces the College tuition fees.

College Events

Technical fest of UEM is the one of the best one in calcutta. Though the competition is stiff it is always a great learning curve. Our own College fest URECKON offers a great deal of opportunities for us to compete and win prizes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I find it a bit expensive as RS. 60000 per sem is the fees. Admission fees is Rs. 80000 and it includes the fees for the first semester. Every semester we also have to pay examination fees before the exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available if you perform well in the entrance exam or get above 9. 0 cgpa in the semester examination. To get scholarship through the entrance exam your rank must be in top 100 and after that you get a 50 percent off on your entire course.

Campus Life

Labs are the best in UEM. You learn so many things that you simply cannot find online or in books. Teachers ensure that all of us complete our lab work and grade us after every lecture. it is really helpful for us students as it gives an in depth knowledge.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. We have whatsapp groups and annual meetings that provide us an opportunity to talk to the seniors and discuss about our doubts and problems. Seniors also help in getting sponsors for fests and choosing the head of the various events.

Admission

I had to give an entrance test which is conducted by the University. After the exam the results were posted online and we were allowed to choose our stream in btech according to our marks in the entrance exam. Then we had to pay Rs. 80000 for admission+1sem fees. After that, each sem fees is Rs. 60000. I chose the course CSE because it is the best course to study in UEM as in the previous batches all students had secured a job from CSE department from campus placements.

Faculty

About 90 percent of the faculty members are great in teaching and learning with them is extremly easy and fun. They are well qualified and many also have experience of working in IT companies so they guide us very well.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
