Remarks

I believe MAC is one of the best college out there. It provides with a lot of opportunities for students to develop their abilities and sharpen their skills. It also helps students to get regularly checked up for medical issues and also give counselling sessions to students to help them lead on in their lives.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

So basically this course capitulated comprehensive interactive lectures with the students. Along with that, the students are made to picturize the practicality of the theories and concepts which helps the student to grasp the knowledge more efficiently and productively. Most importantly this course allows you to participate in educational trips in which you get to visit to various historical places which in turn adds on to the entirety of your learning through this course.

Placement Experience

3

One thing that didn't satisfy me about this College was its lack of placement cell companies w.r.t each course. It had only technically field companies and it lacked academic field companies. Although there were a lot of companies that came but not much advertisement viz. the portfolios of the company was done.

College Events

5

There were lots of cultural, technical and educational events that got organized during my three years of college namely, Yuvaan(annual College fest), Kurukshetra (Annual Maharaja Agrasen memorial debate), Inquisitive (quiz competition), Drishyantar(annual dramatics competition) Aaunga(Annual street play competition) MAC MUN(annual Model United Nations competition) and many many other competitions! It also take students in innovation projects which are the projects held under the central University and it includes a decent stipend too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is really less in comparison to other colleges. More importantly, it gives concessions to economically weaker section students. There is only one additional charge over College fees and that is the annual examination fee. Besides this, there is hardly any money charged by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't opt for any sort of scholarship program. Although few of my friends who are who come under economically weaker sections did opt for the scholarship program and they did get a 30-40% scholarship on the college annual fees.

Campus Life

5

Teachers, students, administration faculty, guards and all other staff members are really very cooperative in terms of college maintenance. There is no discrimination on the basis of gender, race, caste, colour, etc. In fact, students are encouraged to hold collaborative events among each other.

Alumni/Alumna

The college every year organizes its annual alumni meet in which seniors of all the courses come and share their college experience and also tell about their current life. They also hold interactive sessions with Juniors and guide them viz. how to stay focused in college and how to approach in the next phase of life and that is after passing out from the college.

Admission

I want to become a civil servant and for that, I thought of opting political science as my graduation course as it would give me an upper hand viz. the preparation for the same. I got to know that Maharaja Agrasen College's Political Science faculty is one of the best among the entire Universe and this made me choose this college. Also, this College was nearest to my place and was also fulfilling my cut off marks.

Faculty

4

The faculty members of the college and this course are excellent in their service. They have a thorough knowledge of the concepts and theory of their subjects. They always make the class interactive and allow students to discuss and debate on all possible topics.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
