IEM College review

According to my opinion, Positive:- Anti ragging,24/7 library, medical facility, faculty and teaching quality, disciplined , Proper funds for Research & Development Negative:- small campus, dress code, Accommodation and food are not great.

IEM have Courses under B.tech CSE | IT | ECE | EE | MECHANICAL | EEE. If we talk about entrance exam (IEMJEE) then Syllabus and mode of the exam are absolutely same as that of JEE Mains comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics divided into 3 sections. Maths section will contain 60 questions each of 4 marks. Physics and Chemistry section will contain 30 questions each of 4 marks. Total marks will be 360.

Many students receive multiple placement offers. Highest placement offers from IEMG Rs. 39.2 lac per annum from Adobe. The group boasts of having placed its MBA/PGDM students in esteemed organizations.

TRAINING & COMPETITION, MDP(Management Development Programme), SEMINAR/ WPRKSHOP, ACADEMIC TOUR these are some of academic events now some of the curricular activities/events are Marathon, Football, cricket, basketball and another sports related events, innovacion, cultural fest,book fair etc.

Fee structure for me is little expensive. For four years of Btech it costs approximately 3.4lac ,if you include hostel fee then it increases to around 5.5 lac but i would suggest not to go to hostel instead take a flat.

There are some scholarship programme and also college provides student loans. Bank that provides loan for college that i know of are Axis Bank, Credila, Incred. Their rate of interest are 10.5-14.5%, 11.75-14.5%, 11.75-14.5%

Extra curricular activities are is below my expectation since college doesn't have a big campus but lab facility are very good. If we talk about sports then time to time different sports are organized like basketball, cricket, football, table tennis,Marathon and others .college has its own gym.

Yeah they are very helpful.You can ask for help from any alumni or faculty members or seniors. obviously in their free time you just can't barge in when they are attending class or doing some official work.

First i gave the Wbjee exam and got 1353 rank then i selected few colleges for counseling one of them was IEM. After counseling i went to IEM's admission department and gave them the required documents. Documents Required: (Original for verification and 2 copies Xerox) Class X – Admit Card and Marksheet Class XII – Admit Card and Marksheet WBJEEB Counselling Final Allotment Paper(Received from WBJEEB Reporting Centre) 6 copies Colour Passport Size Photographs Printed copy of filled up Online Admission Form. Fees to be paid at the time of admission: Rs. 1,30,200/- (1st Year Tuition Fee, Admission Fee etc.) Through Demand Draft only favouring: “Institute of Engineering and Management Trust” DD drawn on IDBI Bank Ltd (Any branch) Or DD drawn on Indian Overseas Bank (Any branch) Cash or Cheque or DD from other Banks except above will not be accepted. Form and brochure: 2000/- to be paid by cash. Amount to be paid for Uniform is Rs. 4100/- (By Cash)

Since I am CSE department student so overall in my department the faculty members are academicians, professionals as well as dignitaries of the business world. Faculty consists of professors from renowned institutes such as IIT Kharagpur and IIM Kolkata
