SLIET College, Longowal Sangrur Punjab

In my point of view the college have everything that is needed to be a successful organisation. The staff, faculties, hostels all are very good. The Hostel rules, academic rules all are good to maintain the piece and cleanings of the college.

Cousre curriculum is good here. Exam patterns are all O.K. In the past two years exam pattern has been changed. Now there is only mid term examination and the major examination only. So there is no load on the students. Coming to the Laboratories in each of department there are enough labs to do practical of the related subjects.

Now onward the placement are going to a good scale. Companies are very interested to come to our college. Coming to the internship point of view our college try the best to interact with the companies to provide the internship to the college students. Last year a internship is provided by the Panasonic India in our college.

There are so many events which is celebrated throughput the year. Some important of them are Techfest (technical fest), Madhuram (cultural fest), and so many competition like fun cricket football swimming competition and many more.

The fee structure is quite efficient. It is very very feasible. Everybody can afford the fee. To the B.E. students its goes to 26000-30000 rs per semester and for the diploma section its around 6000-10000 per semester. So it is not too much high as other institutions.

There are a merit scholarship provide to everyone by the college. For that you have to prepare yourself to be in the top four of your class. It is given based on the cgpa of the students. Also you can fill the state scholarships forms and center scholarships forms. There are also loan facilities to every students.

The extra curricular activities are so many in number and they are organised throughout the year like fun cricket swimming competition football competition, Race, jump and many more. Everybody are free to take part into these competitions and winners are awarded on the annual festival day.

I have leaving in the hostel from the first year. The hostel infrastructure are good. In the hostel there are sufficient room along with all the facilities like wash room bath room and indoor games mess etc. Hostel rooms are spacious too to live.

Alumni network are good here. Some of the alumni are working with the well named organisation like Texas, TCS and many more. Senior are good here. They are helpful to each and everyone. They suggest to students whenever any students want a suggestion regarding any field.

I appeared in the JEE-EXAM and cleared the cut off. Then after through the counselling procedure by jee main I got admission in Sliet Longowal Sangrur. Now there are two courses available in this college B.E. and the Diploma. In the B. E. Course you can admission only through counselling direct in 1st year. Otherwise there is another cousre diploma you have to clear the SET test and then got admission into the diploma aftet the diploma you can directly switch to 2 year of B.E. through a promotion test.

In my point of view Some facility are awesome. Some are just O.K. Some facilities are good enough to teach in the class without the book. And some take help form the pdf and just read the PDF. Some faculties are like if the department give him or her the another subject which in not in his/her domain, they teach that subject very effectively and efficiently.
