Remarks

As mentioned ealier best part of this college is teaching faculty,placements and college lacks in infrastructure.

Entrance Preview

I took WBJEE and I got 3969 rank. Information technology is highly demanding branch in todays world where use of technology is increasing. I also had other options like ece,ee but I preferred IT. The admission process is through WBJEE online counselling which is held in 3 phase.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is totally dependent on WBUT syllabus. The research department is something that is started few years back and still in the process of development.The faculty and teaching staffs is best part of this college. The teachers and professors are highly qualified from reputed colleges of India and also abroad. The method of teaching is quite good which helps students to implement theoretical knowledge in real time situations.

Internships Opportunities

The internship program is held after 5th semester. The college has tie ups with few of the reputed companies which provide summer internship programs to the students to develop their skills and gain experience while working with the employees of TCS,Wipro, Conzigant, Infosys and many more.

Placement Experience

The college provide hundred percentage placement to the students. The average package goes up to 3.5 lakh/annum where the highest package was 16 lakh/annum last year. The it company TCS took around 400 students at the package of 3.6 lakhs/annum. The companies to visit the campus were infosy, Wipro, Erricson, Conzigent and few more which offered a decent package of 4-7lakhs/annum.

College Events

College organise tech fest like robotics, Gaming zone, also cultural fest like udaan, kshitiz and few more. Many colleges take part in this event and these events are organised at national level where teams from reputed college take part in show their skills.

It is possible for a student to avail loan from the college which provide this facility to the students who are financially not able to afford the fees.

Campus Life

The campus life is one of the thing that one can miss in this college . There are no playground, No proper canteen to spend times with friends. Boys are in majority in this college.Most of the people arelocal bengali people. The other students are mostly from Bihar,Jharkhand. The workshops are held on regular basis to enhance our knowledge in different fields like hacking , game designing, web designing,robotics and so on.

Hostel Facilities

The college do not have hostel attached to the main campus . Their hostels are far away from the college.In the hostel thefacilities are worse. The quantity and quality of food provided in very bad. They charge 6000 for each month in which three students

Alumni/Alumna

This college alumni are well placed in big firms. The incident which I can recall from my past was when I went for a job interview in one of the companies,where I met a person who was the senior employee in the company and me to overcome my fear before interview. Later I came to know that he was too ex-student of my college.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
