B. Tech is a very prestigious course as per my opinion. Nd being from technological background ( IT stream ) i feel pretty much confident about what i do. Engineers are the only ones who can follow any line ( except M.B.B.S ). They can become scientists, entrepreneurs, IAS offices, IT professionals etc. Whichever field they choose to be in. Thats pretty exciting in itself.

IEM has a record of 100% placement when it comes to CS/IT department. Other branches too have equal opportunities. But CS/IT branches have significantly more opportunities compared to any other branches due to presence of enormous amout of companies in Technical domain.

Like all the coleges we have various events that are being celebrated every year in our college. For newcomers we have welcome party ( Freshers ). Similarly we also have Farewell for final year students. Apart from it we have our very own coding competition IEMCO which gets organised every year for all hthe enthusiastic students who love to code and solve questions. We also have our 3 day cultural fest during the month of February. We have Various Hackathons at our campus.

I would say that considering that IEM is a private college, Our fee Structure is quite feasible. I paid arounf 4 lakh rupees for all my 8 semesters in the college thats around 50000 per semester or 8000 per month. Considering the fact that it is a private college, fees is quite feasible.

There are none scholarships that i have availed at my college. But our college does provide certain scholarship to the bright students with good amout of attendance. Students can claim a scholarship based on their academic performance and attendance in their respective classes. It is quite a good way to encourage students to come to college regularly and also secure good marks i the process.

We have various labs present at our campus. A separate master lab for CSE students along with separate labs for all the IT ECE and other branches students. Labs are well equipped with equipments long with computers wherever required.

I have not opted for a hostel facility, i live with my friends in a flat. But one can always consider its hostel facilities for at least a year or so. I hqve some of my friends living there even in final year. Its a nice place. 15 mins walking distance from college. It has its own fooding and lodging facility along with a common room with a TV. You also get free wifi connection there. So it is quite a nice place.

Alumni network is pretty decent in our college. We do have alumni meet every year in our college. Seniors too are pretty helpful and are always ready to help their juniors whenever they need them. IEM has a nice environment where everyone irrespective of their current year are respected and are never looked down upon.

Up until now (i.e 2019 ) the admission process has been very similar. IEM gives admission to atudents based on an entrance exam. We have to sit for WBJEE Exam which takes place during 2nd last week of April. For sitting in WBJEE, we have to fill up its form which gets released by January 1st week. By securing good ranks, we get admission into IEM according to ranks into different streams.

The faculty at our college is a mix bag of experience and vibrant minds. Off course anyone wouldn't like all the facilities ( nobody really does anywhere ). But we have some world level laureates teaching at our own campus especially in core branches. So u wouldn't be out of knowledge. Faculty are very much helpful and listens to the needs of students. Their teaching technique is very satisfying. U get to learn so many things while attending their lecture. So according to me faculty at our college is a decent one.
