Amazing experience at my College

College management is doing its job but little no politics things while making decisions will make it better.

I took admission in the year 2013 and it was FYUP oriented, although rolled back after a year. We had 2 semesters per year and the course was very diverse. The written exam was of 75 marks maximum and 25 marks were reserved for assignment and test thing. We got to read novels and books which were otherwise prescribed during masters so there, we saved time.

If I talk about the overall college, placement cell invited pretty decent companies to our college for all other colleges but there was no such drive for English Hons. During 3rd year of my college, I did my internship with HT campus and it was a good learning experience.

When it comes to celebrating events, college management is quite enthusiastic. College celebrates Republic Day, Yoga Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Holi, Basant Panchami, Diwali. The college hosted its annual fest in the month of march and also popular inter-college Street play competition.

The total fee for all three years was 28000 approx including the exam fee. I gave Rs.8000 as my 1st-year fee which was inclusive of all expenses. College does not have its own hostel and this is one of the major concerns for outstation students. Being not from Delhi I had to shift to a Pg near to my college. Pg costed me for about 10k per month.

I did not opt for any such scholarship or education loan but yes there are some relaxations to reserved category and special able students.

The environment of the college is quite chill. College management tries to organized activities on a regular basis. We were getting a workshop on personality development and women's safety. English Debating society NIMBUS was active and take part inside and outside the college. There was some annual meet for sports in which students and teachers take part.

The college has a good alumni network, with regular meet up. Senior students are helpful and good when it comes to rescuing somebody.

The admission process of the college is quite a simple condition to apply if you have scored well in your 12th standard. I scored 88% and cleared 3rd list of cutoff in the month of July when Delhi University usually begins its admission process. After verifying all the required documents, I had a short discussion with one of the English faculty. After all formalities, I got admission into the college.

The faculty of English at my college is really good. They know what to teach to the students and were highly professional while delivering lectures. With teaching experience of many years, they tried to give as much as possible to the students. They used to take part along with us during subject related activities.
