Remarks

Overall the college is good if you are hardworking enough. The college supports you if you have problems. Yes at starting you will have problems adapting to it but once you get adapted to this environment you will be able to gel well with the profession and people.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Marine engineering is an unique course which constitutes different fields of engineering. It is a very good course. Exam structure is the semester exams are conducted by Indian Maritime University and the internals are conducted by the college.

Placement Experience

2.5

Job opportunities have now declined and so has the placements. Placements are there but are very less and the college does not promise 100% placement. Some companies like Maersk, MSC, Goodwoods come and take cadets.

College Events

4

The main event celebrated and conducted by the college is technovision, which is a technical gets where colleges from all over india participate. Apart from this small cultural events during any auspicious days are held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is good and feasible as compared to other marine colleges.hostel is compulsory. So the fee goes half in hostel and half in tuition. You have to pay rs. 25000 to IMU for their affiliation every year which is included in the semester fee. The overall fee is round about 13lacs

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes if you are the topper of your batch for the whole year, you get rs. 25000 from the college as scholarship and moreover if your board marks in school are above 90%, you get some amount of money. Apart from this there are different quota for the below poverty line people.

Campus Life

3

Labs are not that good but it is improving day by day. Sports is taken good care of as different sports like cricket, badminton, football, table tennis, volleyball are played here and the college has a gym and a swimming pool in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel infrastructure is not so good but yes u can easily live here. Generally 4cadets are allotted a room with double decker beds. Study table, study light, fan, separate washroom in cabin along with basins. It is moderate to be honest

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the college keeps contact with whoever passes out and so does we. They come to college after sail to share their experience and they also keep in touch with the college for placements. They refer about the college to the companies outside and so it acts like a network.

Admission

First you have to appear for IMU CET exam held every year. You have to achieve a rank generally better than 10000.If you have 60% in pcm and 50% english in your board exam, u can can undergo this course. If you have the above qualifications, you can contact the college by calling them or mailing them.

Faculty

3.5

Overall I can say the faculties are moderate considering all of them. On an individual basis some are excellent having vast knowledge about sea life. Generally the faculties that teach ship related subjects like naval architecture, ship construction, etc are excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum behind or campus is very much updated and it is changing as the technology changes. As the present world is engaging with computer and artificial intelligence,I want to improve more knowledge and also want to compete with others. The time table and the devlopment technology followed by our university is devoloped so that only placement are recorded with high percentage when compared to other. The improvement should be observed only regarding labs.We have write examination for every 30 or 40 days , because there are 3 internal test ,semester and lab exams.Actually time is not sufficient but we have to do hardwork.when compared to other universities or colleges our exams arebwry hard.
