I had applied to SRM, VIT, KCG and SNU. I chose this college as it has a relaxed campus culture compared to other colleges, they also have international exposure which helps us migrate to other foreign universities for a semester exchange program. I was selected in SRM and VIT-AP but was rejected from SNU during the interview session and seat limitation, I would have gotten rejected as I wasnt confident in the interview session. The admission process at HITS is simple, you have to register for the HITSEEE exam from their website and its an exam that you can write from your house, the basic eligibilty is 10+2 with atleast 50 percent in maths, physics and chemistry, they also accept TNEA exam students and give direct admission to the NRI students. The cuttoff depends on the course and category and might vary based on reservations as well. The admission experience was pretty straightforward, post the confirmation mail about the rank after writing the HITSEEE exam, there will be a counselling session where we could choose our course and department based on our rank. My institution has an A grade from the NAAC, is ranked 54th in the Times of India's MBA ranking, 102 in India Today's ranking for 2019, and is certified by the University Grants Commission and COA. There are also a lot of recruitment agencies who come to university premises to offer jobs. Furthermore, the curriculum fee is approximately 3 lakhs for three years is excessively low when compared to other academic institutions in the city that charge much higher costs for comparable programs. My father is in government job, he got a transfer in Tamil Nadu. So, me and my family was shifting there after my 12th. One day I was searching for colleges and found HITS in the list of top 10 deemed university engineering college in Chennai with very good infrastructure, faculties, laboratory, transport and placement. Application form was available on the official website of the college. After the registration I filled the form costing around Rs.900. Admission to this course was on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam HITSEE conducted by the college in which I scored average marks. In 12th, I scored 72%. HITS Chennai is a foundation for Aerospace engineering and is ranked under the top 10 Pvt. Institutions for Aerospace engineering. There are many plus points as well as minus points also. Plus points are that the Institution is having each and every facility be it lab, infrastructure or any other practical instruments, etc. Getting into this college was a proud moment for me. There are minus points like they provide less foreign trips for great exposure and experience and many other minus points like cultural events. The admission process is very simple for this college. After taking the HITSEE exam they'll check your qualifications and see whether you are eligible for entry. After that, they'll contact you and ask you to complete certain formalities. After that, they'll call for orientation in which they'll give you id cards hostel room, and other things too and that's it you have successfully entered HITS.
