Overall Good

I applied to SRMIT in Katankulathur, but I chose to join Karunya as it was a fully residential college. SRM College was very far from my place, and I would have to travel a long distance every day. I am not comfortable with long-distance travel on a daily basis. i got admission into SRMIT. I found that Karunya is equally versatile as SRMIT. So I chose Karunya University over SRMIT. In Karunya the minimum expexpected 12 th percdentage was 60%. i had to clear the entrance exam also in order to get the admission into the coursde.

The curriculum included molecular biology, bioprocessing, and hands-on lab work were very inspiring and led me to chose this course. The diverse subjects dealt with in each semester were very helpful for real-world applications. The course gave me dependable laboartory skills such as analtocal methods, careful docuentation . These helped during my internships in chennai and also helped me in my job role . Beyond technical knoweldge,the programme built analytical thinking,attention to detail,report writting,time management,and teamwork through group projects and assignments . I would suggest industry -oriented electives such as in quality arrurance, drug development,and regulatory basics would help students see the career paths open to them and also Structured internships - based on credits internships and industry projects more avaible for the studnets to work on real time projects and this would give every student a fair chance at real-world experience.

Certain companies offered internships for trainee roles to some of the students while they were in their third year. Various projects are conducted in our department with professional outcomes that are beneficial to society and to future research work.

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Minecraft in February of every year Every semester, they celebrate Founders' Day in the month of October. Annual Day is celebrated in the month of December International conferences are conducted during each semester. The library has a good collection of books and journals in multiple copies that are curriculum-friendly. I never felt difficulty getting my books of interest at any point in time. The classrooms are well furnished with comfortable tables and chairs, desks, cupboards, fans, and lights. The classrooms are provided with digital boards, which give a good perspective and visual of the material that is displayed on them. The campus is equipped with play areas for football, badminton, table tennis, cricket, throwball, volleyball, athletic relays etc. Extracurricular activities clubs like Music, Rotary, Dance, Drama, and NCC are very active in the campus.

The hostel rooms are well furnished with cots, tables, chairs, fans, lights, dustbins, wifi access, etc. The hostel premises are kept clean every day. Provisions for washing and drying clothes are well made. Hot water supply is always available in the bathrooms. There are many water purifiers installed on each floor of the hostel buildings. A lift is also installed for easy access to different floors. The quality of the meals and the menu are good and include a lot of variety. There are different menu plans to cater to the students coming from various states of India as well as International students. Hostel registration is done along with the admission process and is affordable.

The faculty student ration was appreciably good. The faculty is good, supportive, and approachable. There were seven theory semester exams each semester. The exams were moderately difficult. For each semester, a maximum of five to ten students failed the semester exams. The course curriculum was very relevant to the degree programme and was very knowledgeable and innovative.

The campus has a very well-established, equipped, and furnished gym, cafeteria, library, and outdoor seating areas. the campus timings are from 8.30 am in the morning to 4.00 pm in the evening. The hostel gate closing time is 6 pm in the evening. The cafeteria is located inside the university campus and the Bethesda centre is located close to the university campus are very relaxing hangout places. The locality is very safe.
