Remarks

It's one of oldest college of South campus DU, so it's infrastructure is not well furnished like we don't have ACalso the lecture halls are not as large as modern colleges have. Also we don't have auditorium for the college. So their is need of such facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

According to me, Physics honors is one of the most prestigious degree in undergraduate program, though it's tough, but exciting, we get deep and elaborated knowledge about physics We have semester patterns for our exams, every 6 months semester ends n we have semester exam, also marks alloted comes in form of CGPA, but a student gets fare chances of improving his results

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes, every year we have internship fair, where everyone from the college is welcomed. It's organised for 3 days, with so many companies having their stall installed. They ask them to give details and an interview is held for getting an internship. Every student is eligible for applying for internship, also stipend depends on job profile.

College Events

4.5

Every year we have series of events, In odd semesters we have admissions taking place, as soon as admission gets over, we have DUSU and College elections, where students contest for various posts. Soon after Elections we have our fresher's party, different departments organise it in different ways, we also have an official freshers party where everyone is invited regardless of his/her department. Then we have mid semester brk of 1 week near about Dussehra soon after break the intensity of studies pitches as semester exams comes to close. In Even semesters we have Delhi University fests( everyone might be aware of it, how glamorous and enthusiastic these events are(???)) every college organises it's fest known by their unique nomenclature. Even semesters also bring various trips from college to explore India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite moderate, since it's a central University so Fee is very feasible, any student from rural area who seeks higher education can afford the fees of the college, also their are various scholarships which can cut down cost of living

Fees and Financial Aid

There are so many scholarship available including state and central government, students from their domicile can avail the scholarship provided by the state government, Central government provides scholarship on the basis of merit or competition exams

Campus Life

4

We have biggest ground in South Campus Delhi University, where cricket and football is played regularly, along with it we have basketball court, badminton court and volleyball court. The Hockey team of our college has won many events including they defeated IIT Delhi in recent tournament.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, they provide alumni card to every pass out student, they regularly visit our college also they guide the current students about securing a good future. The guidance from seniors clears our vision about future courses to opt

Admission

I got admission from second cutoff of year 2017, with my 92.33 aggregate I thought to persue Physics honors from The University of Delhi, first cutoff was quite higher than expected, second cutoff brought some smile on my face, I was in the merit list of many colleges, I chose Motilal Nehru College because I've Heard it was much better than the other colleges, I read about it on internet, it has biggest library n ground in South campus DU. I was supposed to bring all tha essential documents with me at the time of admission, we were allotted College roll number according to our order of admission, after admission was approved, a link was sent to my email for deposition of fee.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is good, educated, humble along with it very regular, they're very keen to complete the syllabus. Though they are strict in terms of attendance i.e no proxy etc, but their strictness is reflected in our results.

Course Curriculum Overview:

*It's a general course so every subject is taught in detail. *The course is not very practical and doesn't offers much with respect to real world applications. Those who want to do phd, research or want to become a professor in Biology can take this course. *The Focus should be more on practical releated to real world applications . *Exams are held every 4-6 months and they are easy to moderate.

Placement Experience:

There is very rare placement for my course in my college. If you want any placement, you have to do minor in some other subjects like economics and statistics. You can masters after that and then PhD. Then you can become a great mathematician in future too. Most students are thinking to clear the Upsc and other government exams after the graduation. If you want to any placement you have to score around 9.5 cgpa in your 6 semesters.
